A Long time in the making, today I am joined by Craig Gurney, known affectionately in these parts as "Craig The Motorcycle Poet." With a true voice for radio, Craig is an epic storyteller and poet. Sometimes humorous, often deeply personal and touching, Craigs stories and poems will have have you teetering on the edge of both laughter and tears. This episode ran quite long, but I really didn't want to cut out too much simply for the sake of time, so consider this a double episode! And towards the end, we are treated to a great story about his experience with Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA) and a truly heartfelt poem to bring it all home. Craig Gurney had moved from Idaho to Oklahoma and with some friends in his new state got pretty close to something major. He lived to tell about it, and told us the story at the July 7 Story Night of Champions. He was the ninth and final speaker of the night, so that means our nine-episode run featuring stories from that evening is over. Craig was a little surprised when one element came up, so listen for that.Also, I introduce this episode from a motel in California where interesting things happened. This episode is long because of Craig, and because of me. The song is "Hell Hole" by Spinal Tap, for reasons I'll tell you in the podcast.Thank you for listening.
