In October 2013, Yessenia Suarez, and her children, Taliah and Michael Elijah Otto disappeared. The police learned from Yessenia's family that she and her husband, Luis, were about to get a divorce. When questioned, Luis told the police that he would never hurt his family and that someone else had.
