Peter Stein zum Tod von Jutta Lampe - "Sie war immer für den Ausgleich, das war ihre Fähigkeit"
Fazit - Kultur vom Tage - Deutschlandfunk Kultur
Peter Stein, oyster farmer: a story of oysters, creativity and survival during the covid crisis
Sounds Like Portraits
My guest this week is Peter Stein, oyster farmer & owner of Peeko Oysters in Long Island, NY. Before the coronavirus crisis, he has supplied a lot of prestigious eateries in New York including Le Bernardin, Eleven Madison Park and Gramercy Tavern. But as the restaurants have closed up due to the pandemic, Peter had to adapt or perish. He’s driving now 300 miles a day to deliver his oysters door-to-door to individuals in New York. It’s time to listen to him and his creative story of oysters, creativity and survival.
This week's Sports Philanthropy Podcast features Peter Stein, Director of Partnerships for Player for the Planet. He shares the organization's efforts with our Host, Roy Kessel, Founder of the Sports Philanthropy Network. Players for the Planet focuses on reducing waste and other efforts at sustainability.
Episode 81: Peter Stein: From Education to Oysters
We are excited to sit down with Peter Stein, the owner and founder of Peeko Oysters! An ex-teacher and management consultant, he traded in his desk for the dock when he launched Peeko Oysters, the only oysters based out of New Suffolk, NY. Tune in as we talk to Peter about how his early childhood passion in aquaculture led him down the path to becoming an entrepreneur, the environmental benefits of oyster farming and the importance of creating more transparency in the fishing industry.
