Making it Up with Julie Clark, author of The Last Flight

Carter Wilson's Making It Up

Julie Clark still tells people she's an elementary school teacher, which she is. But she's also the New York Times bestselling author of the 2020 breakout thriller The Last Flight. Carter and Julie talk about working multiple jobs, the unpredictability of the publishing industry, and how to continuously become a better writer. At the end of the conversation, they make up a surreal circus story using a sentence from The Beastly Beatitudes of Balthazar B, by J. P. Donleavy.Connect with Carter at www.carterwilson.comConnect with Julie at www.julieclarkauthor.com

59. Streaming Guest: Julie Clark

Tongues Out Podcast

I have been super excited to have a close friend to our family, Julie Clark, get on my podcast because she represents something that I thought would have been near impossible to achieve not too long ago, and has created a super successful streaming career not about gaming but instead around music. In less than a year, she has grown from not having a stream to becoming a Twitch Partner, which is one of the hardest achievements to get streaming. In this podcast you will hear how she got into music, learned about streaming, and how she was able to successfully mold the two together on a platform that has had a stigma for a long time as being "Only For Gamers." It was great to hear that Twitch is learning to expand in the services that they offer and are looking to invest into spaces outside of gaming.  Go check out and support her stream at https://www.twitch.tv/julieclarkmusic/about and you will also find her social media accounts in that link as well!DISCLAIMER: Due to the current times we live in at the moment, these guest appearances are all done online to protect everyone from the possible risk of exposure and spread of Covid-19. Because of that sometimes technology hiccups can happen, especially internet related. Either way, the podcast should never be impacted so much that it influences the quality of content you get from listening to our guest. Glad you can be understanding and hope you enjoy it!--- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/tonguesoutpodcast/support

Julie Clark: Fulfillment through Covid

Fulfillament Stories

Our last live event was January 2020. We dont know when we can gather in person again for sharing stories. But we are interviewing a few of our past storytellers about their response to this global pandemic within thier vocation. How has the corona pandemic affected their passion for their work? What things are they doing to “pivot” to stay resilient? Are those pivots met with resentment or excitement? Here we met with Julie Clark, the executive director with TART Trails. You can also listen to Julie’s story  about why she does what she does, how she got there, and how it makes her come alive.
