When the Doctors Have No Answers: Finding Health in the Absence of a Medical Diagnosis—Aimee Tariq—Author, A Life with Health
Aimee Tariq was only in high school when physical ailments took over her life. With a resting heart rate of 200 beats per minute, she was unable to socialize, play her favorite sports, or even take care of herself. She sought help in the way that most would: from a variety of doctors and specialists in the U.S. medical system. But after countless diagnoses and no relief, Aimee Tariq felt she was running out of options. Finally, she decided to abandon the U.S. medical system and carve her own path to health through self-education. She researched everything from toxin exposure to spinal alignment, changed her lifestyle, and completely changed her diet before beginning to find relief. Today, Tariq is where she was before the ailments began controlling her life—in fact, she may even be better off. Her journey inspired her to author A Life with Health, which quickly became a best-selling book on Amazon. She joins the podcast today to discuss her personal journey, the valuable information she has learned over the years, and how you can help yourself achieve a true state of health—with or without a diagnosis or prescription. Helping You Live The Healthiest Version of Yourself—Aimee Tariq—Author, A Life with Health
Finding Genius Podcast
When Aimee Tariq was just a teenager, she began developing serious, debilitating symptoms—symptoms that led her to dial 911 and end up in the hospital with a heart rate of over 200 beats per minute. She couldn’t hold down a conversation or even brush her own teeth, and no one could tell her what was wrong. With multiple diagnoses, none of which seemed to address her ailments, and no treatments or medications that were alleviating her symptoms, Tariq found herself at a total loss. But it was at her lowest point that she realized she had two options: get healthy or die trying. From that point forward, she stopped searching for answers within the U.S. medical system and began carrying out her own research on toxic chemical exposure in daily life, food allergies and sensitivities, hormones and vitamins, and the importance of spinal alignment. Eventually, Tariq rediscovered herself—her healthy self, the one who was athletic and could enjoy all aspects of life unimpeded by poor health. In today’s episode, she discusses the details of her journey and everything she has learned over the years, touching on a few aspects of her Amazon best-seller A Life with Health. 73. Aimee Tariq: How Near Death Experiences Can Be Your Greatest Teacher
Stay Grounded with Raj Jana
“I was not scared of the illness itself. I thought, "This is just something that’s happening. It’s not going to be permanent. Either I’ll die or get better — those are the only two options I’m going to give myself."” When Aimme’s heart raced to 200bpm - even when she wasn’t doing anything - she knew there was something seriously wrong. At the time, the medical community didn’t even have a name for Aimee’s chronic condition - but that turned out to be a blessing.Aimee’s condition left her drained and debilitated. It was so severe she couldn’t even brush her teeth by herself. Aimee didn’t want to live like this. It wasn’t OK for her; so she made a choice. She knew she’d either die or get better.Turned out, life wanted the latter for her. When you’re not boxed in with a label or a specific diagnosis, you’re more able to tune into your own intuition. It’s what Aimee did. She removed toxins from her life, started eating organic, and invested in alternative therapies. The results were astounding. Aimee went from being able to do nothing, to becoming a best-selling author and health optimization consultant who’s currently exploring a variety of exciting projects.“I never limit myself by telling myself who I am. I just tell myself who I want to be.” Nowadays, Aimee teaches professionals how to optimize their productivity, energy, and ability to focus by controlling their physical and emotional wellbeing.I found Aimee’s story so inspiring. It takes incredible courage to cultivate a mindset and willingness to heal yourself - but that’s exactly what Aimee’s been able to do.And in this episode, she reveals how. So tune in now and discover:Why a dream about her grandpa made her realize death can be beautiful - not something to fearWhy Aimee believes who we are can change everydayThe importance of empathy for business (and life) and a surprising way to cultivate this abilityWhy fear isn’t irrational - and how you can use fear signals to live betterThe reason you feel better when you’re able to shift someone else’s emotionsAnd so much more :)Aimee is an inspiration - not just because of how she navigated her way back from a health rock bottom, but because of her willingness to grow through everything. She’s an example how life often gives you what you want (in a roundabout way). Listen to the end and you’ll see why her illness actually led to the work she wanted to do back in her teens.“I view life as a learning experience. We’re here to learn as much as we can before we pass on to the next learning experience.”How to contact AimeeCheck out Aimee’s work here - www.aimeetariq.com/Follow @AimeeTariq on Facebook, Instagram, TwitterLike Aimee’s Facebook Page - www.facebook.com/itsAimeeTariq/And join her Facebook Group here - www.facebook.com/groups/1924327701134218/We thrive on your feedback, so if you’ve enjoyed this show, please rate us and leave us a review.
