All-County First Team and All-State Honorable Mention as a junior. All-State Honorable Mention as a senior. 20: The death of Sophie Toscan du Plantier with Tara Flynn
Sophie Toscan du Plantier was a French television producer who was tragically beaten to death outside her holiday home near Schull, County Cork, Ireland, on the night of 23 December 1996. Her brutal death left a local community reeling and attracted huge media interest at the time. Du Plantier's death remains unsolved. Journalist Ian Bailey has been arrested twice in relation to the murder, but maintains his innocence. Julie Jay talks to Tara Flynn.
