During her time here, her teams won three consecutive county championships. She was chosen Championship MVP, Defensive Player of the Year and All-County First Team as a sophomore. All-County First Team and All-State Honorable Mention as a junior. All-State Honorable Mention as a senior. Sophie Toscan du Plantier was a French television producer who was tragically beaten to death outside her holiday home near Schull, County Cork, Ireland, on the night of 23 December 1996.Her brutal death left a local community reeling and attracted huge media interest at the time.Du Plantier's death remains unsolved. Journalist Ian Bailey has been arrested twice in relation to the murder, but maintains his innocence.Julie Jay talks to Tara Flynn.
