60: HoA "Finding my Feet in the Northern Cattle Industry" with Hannah Murray

Humans of Agriculture

Welcome to Episode 60 of the HoA podcast, I’m excited to be sitting down with someone who I've had the chance to get to know as well as work alongside on some project work up in the Northern Cattle industry. Hannah Murray is currently the Business Development Officer with the Northern Territory Cattlemen's Association, I feel like Hannah is one of those gems of our industry that’s very much in touch at the grassroots and is one to watch for sure. Like many of our guests, her career hasn’t quite been linear, from working on northern cattle stations, a stint supporting school kids with their horses, A vet assistant, Back into the cattle and equine business, and now with the NTCA. Han is an incredible networker, a great asker of questions as we may go on to have a laugh about. I’d like to thank this episodes sponsor LAWD the specialists in agribusiness valuations and transactions, to find out more you can go to www.lawd.com.au --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/humans-of-agriculture/message

#89: Dr. Cecilia Dintino and Hannah Murray Starobin (How to reinvent during a pandemic)

Reinvent Yourself

“Women 50,60,70, 80 have already experienced so much uncertainty, have already had so many rugs pulled out from under our feet, that [we]  know how to recreate and reinvent,” says Dr. Dintino, co-founder of TwistingThePlot.com (https://www.twistingtheplot.com/), a website and podcast that employs techniques borrowed from theater and art to help women answer the question of “What’s next?” In fact, Dintino and her co-founder Hannah Murray Starobin—who met each other in college and have been friends for 40 years--believe the coming "reboot, will require innovation…and getting out of the normative curve.” They are encouraging women to take on uniquely creative projects during the pandemic to bust out of the sense of invisibility and discover their true, inner-selves.  “Be an outlier,” they tell Lesley Jane Seymour, founder of CoveyClub.com in this conversation.  “Do something that wasn’t possible before."
