S3 EP.12 – Carl Cannon grew up in the inner city of Peoria, Illinois and then served in the military for more than 20 years as a Military Police officer and received multiple awards for his service. He eventually returned to the Peoria area to work for the Pekin Federal Correctional Center, where he received the nationally-recognized Selective Placement Program Manager of the Year Award and was recognized as one the Federal Bureau of Prison’s best and brightest. His time working in the prison birthed a program he founded and leads today called ELITE Youth Outreach. Carl published a memoir in 2020 called Full Cannon and was recently featured on an episode of Mike Rowe's popular television show Returning the Favor.
