Episode 146 - Burn the Furniture to Heat the House (ft. Joe Shaw)
The DTALKS Podcast - Detoxing from Life
In this episode of the podcast Joe talks to ANOTHER Joe Shaw, this one based out of the United Kingdom. These not-so-average Joes discuss leaving a legacy for our children, what kind of art we're creating, and how we can build a more inclusive world amidst the current political climate. Joseph Shaw is an artist based in Newcastle upon Tyne. His immersive installations tackle the forced obsolescence of technology post-2000, bring to light issues of trustworthiness and distrust of objects and individuals, and question notions of causation and effect (or actions and their reactions) with a permeating dark humour. Shaw’s work has been shown in exhibitions both in the UK and internationally and he is one of the founding members of the Roundabout collective based in Munich, Germany. Shaw graduated from Newcastle University in 2015 and has since become a member of NewBridge Studios. #ImprovisedLiving #beabetterdad This episode of the podcast is brought to you by Snuffy! He tells his story, where it all began, what brought him to Nashville, and what ever happened at the Watermark. There are some great stories in this episode, I am sorry for the audio, I think I have it fixed going forward. -Brandon Recorded 6-1-20 --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/brandon-styll/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/brandon-styll/support
