Eurovision Radio International - The Ultimate Eurovision Experience
Radio International - The Ultimate Eurovision Experience is broadcast from Malta's Radio 105FM on Tuesday evenings from 2100 - 2359 hours CET. The show is also broadcast on Castlepoint FM in the United Kingdom live on Wednesday evenings from 2000 - 2300 hours CET as well as on the Facebook Page of Eurovision Radio International with an interactive chatroom. Interview with Rainer Hoeglmeier of Wind (Germany 1985): In the summer series of live interviews Radio International - The Ultimate Eurovision Experience is reaching out to a number of artists from the world of the Eurovision Song Contest but also from the national finals. This week Radio International's JP and John Dawton are being joined via SKYPE by Rainer Hoeglmeier who back in 1985 was the lead vocal of the group Wind that came second in the Eurovision Song Contest 1985 with the song "Für Alle". Rainer is now based in the USA and will be joining us live for a chat and looking back at his career as an artist but also why he moved to the USA. We are very much looking forward to having Rainer on the show for a chat and listeners are encouraged to actively take part during the show to submit their questions via our Facebook Chatroom during the live broadcast on Wednesday evening from 1900 - 2300 hours CET. Susanne Georgi (Andorra 2009) - photo 2020 Interview with Susanne Georgi (Andorra 2020): Andorra's last entry to date at the Eurovision Song Contest was in 2009 by Susanna Georgi and the song "La teva decisio (Your decision)" which ranked at Number 15 in Semi Final 1 when the Eurovision Song Contest came from Moscow's Olympisky Arena in Russia and Norway winning with Alexander Rybak and "Fairytale". Radio International's Eric met Susanne in Andorra last July and kindly sent us this interview which we are pleased to air on the show this week. Susanne is native Danish and together with her sister she formed the duo Me and My in the 1990s and had a massive European Chart hit entitled "Me and My". It's great to have the lively singer back on the air of Radio International. During the live show on Wednesday evening (2000 - 2300 hours CET) we enjoyed a very active chatroom resulting that many requests were also played on the show this week. Then there is the Eurovision Birthday File, the Eurovision Cover Spot, the Eurovision Spotlight, the Eurovision Calendar Update and Eurovision News courtesy of escXtra.com. Plus the best selection of great Eurovision music and new releases by Eurovision artists. Andorra plans Eurovision 2022 comeback, says Susanne Georgi (INTERVIEW)
Wiwibloggs: The Eurovision Podcast
Andorra is likely to return to Eurovision in 2022. That's the big takeaway from our chat with Eurovision alum Susanne Georgi, who has secured a verbal agreement from Andorra's government for the country's comeback. Although this is not officially official and in writing, Susanne is confident and so are we. Why aren't they returning to Eurovision in 2021? Because the Covid-19 pandemic isn't over. Given the ongoing uncertainty, it's wise to save their investment for when they can be sure it will be put to use.
This week, we are absolutely ecstatic to be joined by the one and only Susanne Georgi, who was fortunate enough to represent Andorra – the only nation in Eurovision never to appear in the grand final. Together with Jazzi, Rory, Rosie and Tim, she tells us about her campaign (#MyFight and #WeCanDoThisAndorra) to return Andorra to the Contest, after 11 years away from Europe’s favourite TV show. We also discuss our favourite Andorran entries from their short span in the Contest and Susanne’s experience of being a spokesperson for Denmark in 2007!What do you think of Susanne’s campaign? Should Andorra return to the Contest? If so, who should represent them? A link to the current petition mentioned in the podcast is available to sign here. Please do let us know your thoughts, and be sure to stay tuned as we continue to delve into the Eurovision realm!
Susanne Georgi INTERVIEW: Why she wants Andorra at Eurovision 2021
Wiwibloggs: The Eurovision Podcast
Will Andorra participate in Eurovision 2021? Singer Susanne Georgi tells us she's secured a sponsor to cover funding and participation fees for the song contest. Susanne, who sang "Get a Life" at ESC 2009 in Moscow, wants to be Head of Delegation in the first year because she understands the Eurovision process and wants to promote more local talent. She points out that her Eurovision participation budget (including fee) was around 150,000 euros in 2009. RTVA has recently said it won't participate. But given Susanne's plans and commitment, we hope things will change.
