What does it take and what does it look like when we are "acting from love" in our lives? The examples may surprise you. 2020 has been an interesting year, to say the least. From a global pandemic, protests for racial justice and equality, an election year and on and on, it has given us all a lot to think about, discuss and take action on. The Mindset of Happiness with Dr. Justin Blaney, Part 2

Love Dripping From The Walls

Continuing our conversation with Dr. Justin Blaney. We cover the biology and evolution that drives our actions. What's the difference between your gut instincts and your subconscious intuition? Accepting how we feel and not running from our emotions which can cause us more harm in the long run. We beat ourselves up in the moment but what can we do instead? How to be ok with sadness and be happy by embracing all of what we are dealing with.  There is a freedom in being yourself and knowing who you are. How to develop a deep well of self-love. What are the ways in which you express your own self-love now? Taking things and doing them for the fun of it and having it be fun instead of putting pressure on yourself to do something.  Quotes: "We want to try to follow the happiness." -Justin "The greatest aspect of Life is that there is no meaning to it and there is no need for it to have a meaning. Human beings are constantly trying to create false purposes. It is a trap. Human Beings like it (assign it meaning) because it gives you a sense of safety, security, protection, individual identity. If you build a cocoon around yourself it gives you safety, but it also imprisons you. Don't look for a purpose. When you find one, you find madness. The purpose of Life is to Live and Live totally." 21: You’re Not Going to Accomplish Anything Great on your Own with Justin Blaney

The Cha Wilde Show

You’re not going to accomplish anything great on your own. We are a tribe and we innately desire to help other people in our tribe. Justin Blaney used to write songs in Nashville and now he is cultivating community for artists in Seattle by hosting rooftop parties and co-working opportunities. His life revolves around creating opportunities for artists to connect and rise to the next level. His current life mission is to find out just how great life can be. Justin and I met a couple years ago when he asked me to perform at his first rooftop party (I got to sing on top of a skyscraper beneath the night sky — thank you Justin for this opportunity!) Since that show, we have remained friends, inspiring each other deep authenticity, vulnerable sharing of our dreams and encouraging each other to keep shining bright. We recorded our conversation in Justin’s gorgeous downtown Seattle apartment and I included some video footage of his beautiful collection of antique books, vinyl records, and funky lighting fixtures (which he makes himself). Thank you so much Justin for sharing your wisdom and love! xx ChaGUEST: Justin Blaney | Author, Maker, Songwriter & Artist Community BuilderWebsite: https://www.justinblaney.com/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/justinblaney/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/justinblaney/?hl=ru❤ more CHA WILDE:NEWSLETTER SIGN UP: https://chawilde.com/yespleaseWEBSITE: https://chawilde.comINSTAGRAM: https://instagram.com/chawildeFACEBOOK: https://www.facebook.com/chawilde/SPOTIFY: https://open.spotify.com/artist/0zwsrpWYJ7ZFraivcuPHv1ITUNES: https://itunes.apple.com/us/artist/cha-wilde/1445766935YOUTUBE SUBSCRIBE: https://www.youtube.com/dashboard?o=U
