In The Seats With...John Stewart and 'Action U.S.A'
In The Seats with...
It's the old ways that are often the best... On this episode we dive head first into the world of 'Action U.S.A' with director and veteran stuntman John Stewart about his directorial debut. It's an old school crash and bang kind of action movie that you chow down on some popcorn too and maybe even crack a beer while watching. It's not something you take too seriously but you have to be in awe of some of the stunts in the film which are 100% practical, and to see an independently made action film in the 1980's is almost unheard of. We talk with John and he tells us about how he basically fell into the directing job due to his years of stunt work, the dangers of pulling off some of these stunts and we hear about a few close calls in his career.
Public land hunting isn't easy. Bucks are hard-earned. Jonh Stewart spends most of his time scouting and only a fraction of his time actually spent hunting. John hunts public land in PA and has had a good deal of success over the years harvesting mature whitetails. He has put in the time over the years and chats with Greg and Eric about h.is approach during the pre-rut He also talks about rubs, and scrapes and how he values or devalues that intel when planning his hunts.
