Cap., Father Eric Banecker, and Gina Christian present the truth, beauty, and goodness of the Catholic faith to Catholics, fellow Christians, and all those who seek something more. Renowned Bible teacher, author and speaker Jeff Cavins shares with the Arise team why it's vital to create a "culture of Scripture" in order to face not only a pandemic and a time of social unrest, but life itself.

I experienced a second conversion when I was a FOCUS missionary. I loved making friends and developing a relationship. And I loved the more catechetical moments where I was able to teach someone about the faith or teach them how to pray the rosary, but talking about Jesus and what he had done for my life…that made me uncomfortable because it didn’t fit with the culture I was trying to reach. However, I was convicted by the writings of JPII when he says that the proclamation of Jesus Christ and the salvation that he offers all people is the “hinge on which all evangelization turns.” Today, I was renewed in this conviction by the words of Jeff Cavins. He tells us, “The proclamation of the gospel is about going into a hurting world and telling them the truth about life.” This may seem daunting at first, but Continue the Conversation and hear how Jeff makes it so very simple to do!

n 2014, Jeff Cavins and Jennifer Young sold all of their belongings and set out on the road to live in a camper for 7 months. This all started after they became fed up with sitting in fluorescent-lit rooms and selling companies for other people. Jeff explained, “I looked at Jen and we shared this look with one another and decided: We can’t do this anymore— let’s do something that’s related to the outdoors.”
Today, Jeff and Jennifer run Outdoorsy, an RV rental experience marketplace with headquarters in San Francisco, CA and Austin, TX and operate in 14 countries around the world. What started as a simple thesis to get out of the office and appreciate the outdoors, became an impactful business and marketplace for everyone.

Following Christ can be tough. I know as well as you do that it's not easy. So what does it take to be a disciple? It takes a conscious choice to be like Jesus every day. To do that, means spending time with Him and witnessing about Him to others.
This week I welcome Jeff Cavins and we discuss situational awareness and how to look for opportunities throughout your day to pray for someone or witness to Christ. Being a disciple is THAT simple!

Matthew 28:19-20, Romans 1:20 and Preaching the Gospel – Marcus Grodi and Jeff Cavins

Marcus Grodi continues his “Memorable Verses” series with Jeff Cavins, founder of the Great Adventure Bible Timeline. They look at the Great Commission, as well as St. Paul’s exploration of how God reveals himself through creation, and talk about what those two passages tell us about how we’re supposed to share our Catholic faith. They dig into natural law, faith, and reason, and touch a lot of interesting bases along the way!“Ever since the creation of the world his invisible nature, namely, his eternal power and deity, has been clearly perceived in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.” Romans 1:20″Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20Hear more episodes at CHNetwork.org and deepinscripture.com.
