LOOK OUT! It’s only Films To Be Buried With! Join your host Brett Goldstein as he talks life, death, love and the universe with the brilliant podcaster, journalist and author (non-fictioner) and all round sincere talent DOLLY ALDERTON!
Ultra fun times to be had this week folks, as Brett teams up with Dolly via the medium of a very well known social communication app that rhymes with “BOOM”, “DOOM” or if you like “ZOOM” (…wait, hold up…), and has a super great chat which delves deep into all aspects of Dolly’s life and loves via the medium of cinema! Ohhh it’s a goodie. This may be the episode from which ‘non-fictioner’ becomes a thing too. You watch this space and mark my words. A solid introduction which gets into all things writing and the process behind it all, having ‘natter happy friends’ (zooming and facetiming all over the place), good writing talk, EPN (you’ll find out what that cheery acronym means), being intimidated by film geeks (uh oh…) and a whole ton more - some real gems right here for you, everyone. So please, take yourself some time from the day and enjoy this lovely chat with Brett and Dolly!

When we read a preview of Everything I Know About Love, the debut memoir from Dolly Alderton, we knew we had to bring her on the podcast. The book, which charts her love life (romantic and platonic) from her teens until now, centers strongly on female friendships and the highs and lows of travel—both on your own and with friends. (There's a chapter near the end set in the Orkney Islands that is particularly moving. You'll just have to read it.) This week, we sit down with Alderton to celebrate her book's U.S. release, and chat about everything from the time she cried while interviewing Elizabeth Gilbert to why the world is still uncomfortable with women traveling on their own.
