I sat down and spoke to Shane Dallas, a keynote speaker, conference director, social media expert and photographer. We discussed how he fell in love with travelling at a young age and how his career started in the travel industry. One of the topics we talked about was his photography. Shane got noticed because he took photos of places on the road less travelled, which not many did back in the early 2000s or do so today. We talked about why he travels the road less travelled and the meaning behind him starting his weekly Twitter chat, TRLT. Did Shane ever envision the Twitter chat lasting this long and it being this successful? I also spoke to him about what he likes to do away from work and travel. Plus, whether he has plans to go back to Australia. I thoroughly enjoyed my talk with Shane, and I hope people take something away from our discussion. I look forward to the next chapter on his journey. You can also watch the episode on my YouTube channel (https://youtu.be/WS97TdUeR18). Shane Dallas (Australia). Social survey about creative society
On May 11th, 2019, a unique global event took place on the platform of “ALLATRA” International Public Movement - the international video conference “SOCIETY. THE LAST CHANCE", in which people of different nationalities, religions, social statuses and ages from more than 140 countries of the world took part. Openly and honestly were discussed important and really urgent questions of society. Now participants-volunteers are actively conducting social surveys in different countries in order to find out the opinion of the international community about what unites all people internally; in which world we want to live - in one full of love and mutual respect or where there are conflicts and wars; to what extent society needs the initiative of the participants of ALLATRA International Public Movement to publicly raise topics about humanity and creative vector of development. Join the global initiative - to meet all together next year on the second Saturday of May at the even larger international online conference “SOCIETY. THE LAST CHANCE 2020" #allatraunites! You can also participate in the survey, write to firstname.lastname@example.org https://allatraunites.com

Shane has been to more than 100 countries but have decided to slow down on getting to new countries. Not that long ago he settled down in Kenya with his wife and daughter. S2E1: Shane Dallas - 'A Warm Welcome in a Harsh Land'
You know when you get to a country with all your preconceived ideas and it's nothing like you thought it was going to be? Maybe you saw some things in the news, maybe your Aunt knows someone who's cousin went there and they had a tough time, or maybe you just have a bad feeling about it. Then you get there, and the people are the nicest you've ever met and you have the greatest time. Boy, does that happen often. Our guest for this episode is Shane Dallas, otherwise known as the Travel Camel, who loves going to these sorts of places. He's been to almost 100 countries, including all over the middle east, Afghanistan, India and many others. His experience in these countries is a first hand account of how things can be if you go into traveling with an open mind and clear of preconceptions. As always, he is accompanied by original music that really allows the story to come to life and take us along the journey with Shane.
