I used to do a podcast called The Hart of Americana. Those episodes are no longer available, so I am putting them up here. This episode was from March 16th, 2017. Welcome to another week from the past. This week on the show I am putting out my conversation with Walt Wilkins from back in March of 2017. Walt can be described as the godfatherr of music in the hill country area. Walt has been nothing but kind to me from the start, and it shows right here. Enjoy this conversation, and go check him out live. firstname.lastname@example.org - Email me with any questions, or random thoughts. shawnhartmusic.com - For all your shawnhartmusic needs.
Jason Wickens sits down with Texas songwriter troubadour Walt Wilkins. They discuss his storied career and journey from Texas to Tennessee and back. And of course some hard earned advice for the aspiring singer-songwriter.
Unfortunately this is a lost episode. For whatever reason, the way we normally do things did not work, so the show did not record. So this is me giving a recap of the episode. I am so sorry to all of you who wanted to hear the episode, so did I. I hope y'all have a great holiday season and we'll see you again next year.
The Co-Write: Episode 39 - Red River Songwriter's Festival Review; A Sit Down With Walt Wilkins
The Co-Write is back from the 7th annual Red River Songwriter's Festival! Walt talks about his involvement with the RRSF, as well as his own festival, Waltstock & Barrel, which is coming up in April. Walt Wilkins is a legendary singer/songwriter on the Texas Music scene. I found out during my in-studio conversation that he's an even better human being. What an amazing man. I was so honored and blessed to get to know him and talk about his goals, dreams and aspirations, which includes working at a small-town airport.
