Randy Staats, College Football, and the Best Kept Secret in the Burger Industry

The Post Game

Nick mourns Notre Dame’s CFP performance (they covered!) and attempts to rationalize it away while Evan returns from vacation and reveals the best burger you've most likely never had and probably never will.  (19:16) Onondaga CC legend, former Syracuse stud, MLL Champion, NLL Champion, and very soon to be PLL standout Randy Staats sits down with us. Randy gives us some info on the amazing work he is doing with Turtle Island (http://turtleislandlax.com/), growing up and playing lacrosse on the reserve, his time at Hill Academy and scoring 1 million points at OCC while only playing one half per game. Randy and Evan recap their time at Syracuse and compare OCC nightlife to Cuse and Notre Dame nightlife. Nick and Randy look back on their NLL encounters (scouting report: "take Ossello to the rack") and discuss Randy joining the PLL. We wrap up with a bit of a history lesson and some important insight from Randy on the Iroquois Nationals initial exclusion from the 2022 World Games.  Follow Randy on Instagram and Twitter @staats83 This episode is presented by Red Truck Beef Jerky. Lacrosse All Stars Network

This week on X-Treme Threads Lacrosse Classified, Evan and Jake recap a busy weekend in the NLL with six games, and Jake had a bad week in #WhoWeHad, and is now four games behind Evan. Our first guest is Randy Staats, forward for the Georgia Swarm, Six Nations Chiefs and Iroquois Nationals. Born in South Africa, Boushy played most of his junior career in the Ontario junior B division before being drafted and cut by the Saskatchewan Rush, then signed and cut by the Buffalo Bandits, then being signed again by the Calgary Roughnecks and having a fabulous start to the 2019 season before becoming the healthy scratch when Curtis Dickson returned to the lineup. He was then traded at the NLL trade deadline to Rochester for a fourth-round pick. And if his roller coaster season couldn't be any crazier, he scored seven goals and two assists in his Rochester debut, smashing the record for most goals and tying the record for most points in a team debut. Then we have another edition of Stampede Tack #WhoYaGot where Jake resorts to using a coin to determine his fate, Evan makes his broadcast debut alongside John Gurtler for the Buffalo Bandits and we have our first prize giveaway.
