This week, James chats to broadcaster Doireann Garrihy (@doireanngarrihy) and comic Joanne McNally (@joannemcnallycomedy) about crisps, the luxury of having a cleaner, wine, wine and more wine.Produced by James Kavangh and Voco Studios Dublin
In case you missed it, here’s one of our favourite episodes from the series so far – my chat with Doireann Garrihy, first published in May 2021, this one’s a lot of fun…What do Pippa O’Connor, Mary Lou McDonald, Maura Higgins, Roz Purcell, and Daithi O’Se have in common? Doireann Garrihy does a frighteningly good impression of all of them. If you follow Doireann on social media or watch The Doireann Project on RTE you’ll know just how talented she is. So it is no surprise just how successful Doireann has become in such a short space of time. Doireann and I have such a laugh throughout this chat – we hear the impressions and the funny stories, but she also has a couple of more serious things to vent about, such as her increasingly love/hate relationship with social media and the impact of spending so much time online. And in a rare Primetime special, Miriam O’Callaghan puts a few of Doireann’s characters through their paces. Exclusive comedy: In this week’s sketch, which is exclusive to YOU as a fan of The Mario Rosenstock Podcast, Pat Kenny can’t keep his cool anylonger after more than a year of talking to 'experts' about Covid. Enjoy!Mario Produced by Patrick Haughey, AudioBrand | www.audiobrand.ie Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Childhood Obsessions, Sunday Scaries & Did Rachael live with Doireann Garrihy?
Who Ya Lovin?
Welcome to Episode 2 x Take 2 of Who ya Lovin? - This week we're recommending a few Irish podcasts to keep you entertained and we weigh in (impartially of course) on the interview that we are well aware has already been dissected to the death. We touch on Rachael's stage school stint, the universality of trolling and the parallels of Meghan & the "firm" and the modern workplace. We also talk the overnight decline of DVDs & CDs (RIP bonus features) & the mood lifting magic of those post-lockdown plans- whenever that may be- the extravagant and the banal!Reading The Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osman https://mcloughlinbooks.com/products/the-thursday-murder-club-the-record-breaking-sunday-times-number-one-bestseller?_pos=2&_sid=1ddb26921&_ss=r&oseid=YF4xr5N3XbN2bC5ki1EXayUhFleishman is in Trouble by Taffy Brodesser-Aknerhttps://biblio.co.uk/book/fleishman-trouble-taffy-brodesser-akner/d/1299901471WatchingThe Bold Type https://www.netflix.com/ie/title/80176085https://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Bold-Type-Season-1/dp/B078XLWPWXCBS Presents Oprah with Meghan and Harryhttps://www.rte.ie/player/movie/cbs-presents-oprah-with-meghan-and-harry-e1/187883048172 https://www.itv.com/hub/oprah-with-meghan-and-harry/10a1332a0001ListeningJuvenalia https://www.juvenalia.net/The Laughs of your Life by Doireann Garrighy https://open.spotify.com/show/4CQfEct1b7aotdVB4T4gLCMental Health ResourcesPieta House https://www.pieta.ie/ Freephone 1800 247 247 Text HELP to 51444Aware NI https://aware-ni.org/ Tel: 028 9035 7820 / 028 7126 0602Text About It https://text50808.ie/ Text ‘HELLO’ to 50808Shout https://giveusashout.org/ Text ‘SHOUT’ to 85258 Article by Jo Ellison: Meghan, the modern workplace and the millennial dilemma https://www.ft.com/content/0eaa179c-cd49-4378-85fa-8e378a317438Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/whoyalovinpodcast. The Keith Walsh Podcast Episode 6 with Doireann Garrihy
The Keith Walsh Podcast
Dubland meets Doireann Garrihy and quickly delve deep into PJ's bowel movements, or lack thereof. Eventually we get around to Doireann and the talk moves to being busy and how busy we should be and what the pandemic has taught us about taking a breath. They talk about moving in with your fella or missus, especially during a pandemic. Suzanne and PJ starts organising Doireann's wedding, which she quickly puts a stop to, seeing as she's not engaged or getting married. So they talk about comedy, how Doireann got her start, and what else she might do. A few months down the road and we're back to the nudity in Normal People. They talk about Doireann's podcast, The Laughs of Your Life. They get a bit deep about how great and friendly Doireann is but also how difficult it is to be in the public eye and put up with criticisms. Things get emotional and confusing when talking about dogs. Doireann is advised by Suzanne and PJ to just steal a set in RTE and starting making a TV show. We end with an inspirational moment from PJ. Go buy a t-shirt and enjoy Dubland. This episode is sponsored by The UX Design Institute.
