Under The Strap - Episode 32, 10/5/20 with Caddyshack's Michael O'Keefe (Danny Noonan) & Kip Henley
The Caddie Network Podcast
This week's episode of 'Under the Strap' was an absolute treat, as host T.J. Auclair welcomed actor Michael O'Keefe -- a man most well-known to golf fans as Danny Noonan from the hit comedy Caddyshack -- and PGA Tour caddie Kip Henley. O'Keefe recently caddied a couple of practice rounds at the U.S. Open and explained to TCN that he's hoping to land a bag at the upcoming Masters. He also provided some outstanding behind-the-scenes stories about the making of Caddyshack, explained why he didn't embrace being "Noonan" until 2007, talked about the respect he has for caddies and a whole lot more, including a fun exchange with Henley over a couple of Noonan-related tweets Henley sent out during the U.S. Open.

next on the tee with chris mascaro
On this segment of the show I talk with PGA Tour Caddie Kip Henley. Kip is one of the great follows on Twitter @kiphenley. He is currently looping for Stewart Cink out on the PGA Tour. He gave great insights into the incredible lengths the PGA Tour is going to in order to keep the players and caddies safe. He also talks about what it's like caddying at The Masters, what his favorite foreign country is to caddie in (Alabama), staying away from any negative comments when discussing a shot with his player, and the beauty of the McLemore course outside of Chattanooga.
Under The Strap - Episode 9, 5/18/20 with Kip Henley and Don Donatello
The Caddie Network Podcast
In this week's 'Under the Strap' podcast, host T.J. Auclair is joined by caddies Kip Henley and Don Donatello. Before both Henley and Donatello became PGA Tour fixtures in the caddie area, they had their own aspirations of playing at the highest level. In 2004, they were the two finalists on Golf Channel's Big Break II: Las Vegas and, arguably, the two biggest stars in the reality show's 18-season run. Henley and Donatello look back on how the experience played out from the initial audition to the long days at the course to Donatello's trademark smack-talk (which Henley admits, "made the show!") and a whole lot more.
Veteran PGA caddy Kip Henley stops by the Learning Center to visit with CPG about his futile efforts to make it as a PGA Tour player, his long successful run as a caddy and many more topics in the world of golf. This is an episode you don't want to miss.
This week Zack spoke to Kip Henley, caddy of PGA Pro Austin Cook. He gave his insights on the game from behind the ropes. We discussed his and "Cookies" win at the RSM Classic last year as well as Kip's win on Big Break II in 2004. Kip is one of the funniest guys on Twitter and he didn't disappoint. There were definitely lots of laughs throughout and especially as we went over some of you guys' fan questions!Enjoy and don't forget... "And Tiger shook my hand and said, "Looking forward to it, Kipper,'" with caddie Kip Henley
Nobody's got better golf stories than the caddies, and Austin Cooke's colorful looper Kip Henley joins the show to detail his experience caddying next to Tiger at the Northern Trust this past Sunday. Kip's gone to war for Tiger on Twitter over the past few weeks, and he's got a lot of good tales to tell about our guy. Also, the Fore Play crew was up in Massachusetts this week with Titleist getting custom fit for clubs and touring Ball Plant III, where much of the world's ProV1s are made. We debrief on the entire experience, including Frankie Butter Knives facing his worst nightmare head on!
We've been wanting this interview for a while now and it did not dissapoint. Kip Henley is one of the best follows on Twitter and the self acclaimed (likely true) funniest caddie on the PGATour. Kip tells stories about a crass joke from Stenson, mowing his own lawn naked, what he does (or doesn't do) to prepare for an event and more! Kip makes a living carrying Brian Gay's bag on Tour and he changes lives on Twitter under the handle @KipHenley.Thank you for taking the time to listen to the Tour Junkies Podcast.
