About Justine Bloome

Justine Bloome is a 20+ year veteran of marketing and advertising strategy, an executive mentor, and a certified meditation teacher.

Justine’s unique expertise is in understanding humans; what influences their decisions, their behaviours, attitudes and what motivates them to take action. After two decades as a leading strategist within media, advertising and agency environments across Sydney, Melbourne, London, New York City, and Portland, Justine is now focused on empowering solopreneurs and heart-forward leaders to thrive in this new paradigm of conscious digital communications.

Justine uses her training in meditation, blended with her marketing strategy teachings, to guide solopreneurs and network marketers to create their Magnetic Marketing Blueprint.

---------

Before moving to Portland, OR, Justine held the role of Chief Strategy Officer at VaynerX in New York City, a brand new role for the digital-first, full service holding company when Justine joined in 2017. CEO Gary Vaynerchuk described Justine as being the key to “filling the empathy void” in the agency marketplace.

Prior to this, Justine created the Catalyst team at media agency, Carat USA as EVP, Head of Strategy and Innovation. At Carat, she cultivated a diverse team of strategists, technologists, and creative media thinkers. During her tenure, Carat was named AdWeek’s 2016 Media Agency of the Year and Justine was included in AdWeek’s 2016 Media All-Star line-up.

Before moving to the United States, Justine founded The Village, an Australian agency comprised of independently successful marketing and communications experts offering brand strategy, content strategy, and digital strategy, among other consulting services. Built on a uniquely disruptive premise, The Village curated a bespoke team of the highest calibre freelance professionals, precisely fit to solve the challenges of any given client, project or brief.

Her strategic thinking is founded in Brand Experience Strategy, which she honed while in her first strategic role at Jack Morton Worldwide. Brand Experience Strategy considers every interaction with a potential consumer in one cohesive ecosystem. Over many years since, Justine has been the leader, guide, and mentor of multidisciplinary teams of empathetic, strategic thinkers and practitioners at the intersection of Culture, Experience and Attention.

Justine is frequently asked to speak at industry events, and has given talks at SxSW V2V, TEDxWomen, 4As Stratfest, Cannes Lions, and numerous other events across the United States, Europe and Australia. She has served on the advisory boards of AOL, ZEFR, The Salvation Army, and as a judge for The Effies, Cannes Young Lions, Supernormal Awards, WARC Awards and AdWeek’s Media Plan of the Year.

Justine Bloome // The high-flying all rounder on being a business founder, corporate executive and side hustler

Play
Read more
For this episode, we're joined by another intrapreneur but one who also has her own side hustle and can speak to both sides of the yay-type fence. Justine Bloome is an absolute powerhouse and fellow Aussie but now lives in the big apple (as you may hear every now and then in her slightly New York accent) doing incredible things in the world of digital marketing and tech.
She has an incredible CV to her name and is currently right hand woman to Gary Vaynerchuk aka Gary Vee and the first Chief Strategy Officer of VaynerMedia since 2017 (aka dream job). I’m assuming you’ve heard of Gary Vee but if not, he’s an investor in Facebook, Snapchat, Venmo and Uber and CEO of Vayner Media and VaynerX – just come out from the rock you’ve been living under and google him. Prior to that, Justine served as executive vice president, head of strategy innovation at #1 Global Media Network, Carat, from December of 2014. Before her move to the Big Apple, she was a senior brand strategist consultant for The Brand Institute of Australia, head of client strategy for the Victoria region for Nine Entertainment and business strategist at Jack Morton Worldwide, as well as founding and serving as CEO of The Village Agency, “a network of independently successful marketing and communications experts.”
If that weren’t enough, Justine is also the founder, author and publisher of the Mindful Series, and a transformation coach, empowering mindful professionals and wellbeing brands to thrive. Across two decades as a strategist inside frenetic media, advertising and agency environments in Australia, London and New York, she developed her approach to mindfulness and reflection as a means to unlocking her best potential and self. She’s a sought after speaker delivering TED Talks, speaking at Walt Disney’s Media Summit and many more.
