No stranger to the collector car world, Nick Ellis turned his love of restoration and preservation into a business. Nick joined the RPM Foundation in 2018 to manage their grant process and was recently named Executive Director. The RPM Foundation supports restoration and preservation training programs for the next generation of automotive, motorcycle and marine craftsmen.

After following the call to travel to Peru, Nick ended up becoming a MD and creating MEDLIFE to support rural communities in a different way. As they began bringing more travelers to volunteer, the role of tour operator naturally evolved and Matt and Nick now support community-based tourism and sustainable travel while helping travelers get off the beaten path. This conversation dances through topics of sustainable travel, community impact, and ways to empower the communities we visit.
