I've Accomplished All My Fears - a talk with Stewart Huff
INTO THE ABISCUIT
Stewart Huff is a comedian and sage based in Atlanta who collects junk for a job now - as in he has a podcast about things he finds. This week he sat down with Drew to talk about it, but they of course veered into murkier territory. Stewart's unique take on life, and having something deeper than hope to keep you going, moved Drew to near speechlessness - IMAGINE THAT! There is a kindness in this man that will make you fall in love with him. But if that doesn't do it, the story about facing off with the Klan will. Check out Stewart Huff's Obsessive Curiosities and his stand up online. Trigger Warning: we talk about sexual abuse in this episode.

Stewart Huff is a comedic legend. His style is unique, diving deep into culturally significant events, past and present, and delivering them with the eloquence of an evangelist, the intellect of a philosopher and the wit of one of the better story-telling comedians of our generation.
Todd decided to take a chance and throw a curveball at you 10-41ers. He had an interview with his friend and legendary standup comedian Stewart Huff in the can for a bonus episode of his comedy podcast FUNTOWN. And because he enjoyed this conversation so much and because of what they ended up talking about, he decided to throw it into the 10-41 feed as well. Stewart Huff is a different kind of comedian. His evangelistic delivery, philosophical mind and passion for lesser-known historical events and stories make him one-of-a-kind in the standup comedy industry and someone Todd thought you should get to know.
I think it's great that Stewart Huff is my second guest and direStewart Huffctly followed Tom Dreesen. Their approach and philosphy on comedy is about as different as you can get. I think of Stewart as a comic philosopher and think he's fantastic. This was a great interview. It's hard to connect over the phone but I think we did it. Episode 9 Stewart Huff Storytelling In Stand-Up Comedy
The Storytelling Series - Lessons In Storytelling And Life
In this episode we get to know standup comedian Stewart Huff. Stewart Huff was born in Campbellsville, Kentucky and grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee. He has been performing comedy for over 20 years, beginning when he decided to drop out of college to become a writer. Currently touring theatres, comedy clubs and anything in between across the country A storyteller at heart, Huff continues to amaze audiences with his clever material and personal wit. Huff has performed in comedy clubs nationally and internationally, including the Improv in Los Angeles and New York, the Punchline in Atlanta and the Funny Bone in Omaha, as well as countless others. The storytelling series was born out of 16 interviews I did in 2014 for a documentary on storytelling and how we use storytelling in all walks of life. Life and work pulled me away from the project and the awesome interviews have sat on my hardrive since then. I am now releasing the interviews in podcast format.
Stewart Huff came through the Independent Comedy Club this weekend and we got a chance to sit down with him and talk to him about doing comedy across the country. Stewart's latest hour is all about the founding of the country, so we asked him how he stays optimistic, how he writes, and he shares with us some excellent wisdom (we still manage to get in a few dick jokes, so hell yeah) truly an honor to talk to Mr Huff. Please check out him if he comes through your town, and go download his albums. Thanks for listening.
