I Travelled The World of Coliving - Coffee Talk w Kalen Hayman ft. Connor Moore

CoLiving Coffee Talk with Kalen Hayman

A young man from Knoxville, Tennessee has been studying in Malaysia at the Asia School of Business where he was awarded a grant to travel the world studying on the future of shared living.  Connor Moore is now a bright, energized Coliving Expert entering the industry at an interesting time of COVID19.   But there is proof from his research that this growing industry will continue to answer some of our modern living, sustainability, mental health and affordability issues all around the world.  We touch on some of Connor's notable community brands to look out for while he drives home the importance and value community has for all people, as we are told the opposite, to hide and stay at home.  Well we are here to tell you that, home is where you choose it to be, and coliving may be flexible living but it is also longer-stay than any overnight hotel or weekly stay.  Coliving is defined by community.  Most coliving tenants stay on average 6-months after experiencing the benefits of support. "We Thrive in Tribe" | Interview with CoLiving RESIDENT Kalen Hayman in Venice Beach, CA

The Coliving Code Podcast

It's been a while since we've actually interviewed a USER of CoLiving but it's great to see the positive impact living in community can have on an individual. It's also nice to show that it is not just 20 year olds Coliving together. Here is a 38 year old & 39 year old who both prefer to CoLive! Here's Kalen's Story..."I moved into Haven coliving in Venice Beach, California as a result of wanting to relocate to where I was last happy in my life, and where I started my career here in Los Angeles, years prior. The idea of moving into a mindful community also offered its benefits. Yet most members felt the offer sounded too good to be true with rooftop patios, yoga studio, theatre room, coworking space gym, all for $1,000/month…I am happy to say, HAVEN is real! Even my pod has offered some of the best sleeps ever. Sorry, my 'Japanese style sleeping pod' ;)The benefits of living in community has changed my mental health as I have battled with depression over the past two decades. I have even captured stories of transformation from other members who have benefitted from living here too. ‘Happiness is health. If you are happy, you are healthy’ quoted from DeAndre Sinette, a member who’s profile I captured recently. My work and overal wellbeing has improved so much that today, I am carving a niche for myself in the covling space as a media specialist, helping communities tell their stories, better, attracting like-minded members, increasing engagement through content and programing and retaining aluma by promoting their specialities online. Shout-outs to Selina, Zuko, Treehouse, Dojo Bali and Outpost…I’m coming for you!To my friends, family and listeners, coliving offers a cultural shift and an answer to so many problems around the world including but not limited to the housing crisis, mental health, professional development and overal happiness and well being. We are tribal creatures, we thrive in tribe! You can see some of the work I have captured in community on my website: https://www.colifecreation.com"
