Jeffrey Dahmer Part II: Emotions of Bizarre Desires

In part two, the final part of this series on Jeffrey Dahmer, we return back to July 27, 1981 in Hollywood Florida, where six-year-old Adam Walsh goes missing from a Sears store, and on that same day 34-year-old Willis Morgan was in the Radio Shack at the Hollywood, Florida Mall, when a disheveled man, reeking of alcohol approached him. The man was trying to talk to Morgan, perhaps flirtatiously."I didn't respond to his overtures," says Morgan, but despite that "he just wouldn't leave." Morgan recalls this man as being "so desperate, so lonely for someone to talk to." He was a "goofy guy that was lonely, that was looking for someone to talk to." The man, says Morgan was "unkempt and dirty" and had a "dead look in his eyes." "He was lonely, he just wanted anybody," says Morgan. After the man dejectedly stomped away, Morgan says he was "keeping an eye on him" and recalls seeing the man enter the Sears department store. On that day, several other shoppers encountered or spotted this man as well, who they claim to be the Milwaukee Cannibal, Jeffery Dahmer. Was it possible Dahmer actually murdered 6 year old Adam Walsh?FOLLOW US on SOCIAL MEDIAJoin the "Elbow Deep Club" on Patreon for just $5/Month to get more exclusive content from Even the Podcast is Afraid, like our exclusive after show "After the Podcast is Afraid" and our video only podcast show "Monthly Sacrifice" & more.Visit our website eventhepodcastisafraid.com to check out our merch, listen to more episodes, see our sponsors, and dive through our detailed archive of all the shows we have released to date & more.Keep up with what we are doing by following us on social media, you can find us on Twitter @PodcastAfraid or on Instagram @PodcastAfraid You can also follow the hosts on Twitter, @jared_ordis, @thenickster15, & @spookysam8 + you can follow Jared & Nick on Instagram, @jared.ordis and @porchetta_sandwichEven the Podcast is Afraid is part of the Crawlspace Media Network, be sure to checkout their website to see all the shows offered on the CSM network.SPONSORS & MORE MENTIONED in this EPISODEEven the Podcast is Afraid Merch Store Holiday Discount, use code DEEP10 in our merch store to get 10% OFF your purchase, CLICK HERE , or visit our website at eventhepodcastisafraid.com & click Merch at the top of the website. In part one of this series on Jeffrey Dahmer, instead of doing a complete rehash of all his individual murders and all the grotesque details, the trial so on, since everyone knows who Jeffery Dahmer is, and his case has been covered by tons of true crime podcasts, documentaries, and tv shows, this stories has been told time and time again. So instead we wanted to discuss more of the mysteries that still surround this highly talked about serial killer. On July 27, 1981 in Hollywood Florida, a six-year-old boy went missing from a Sears store, and On July 22, 1991, almost 10 years to the day, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a 31-year-old man is arrested for the attempted murder of a young man. Soon it emerges that this attempted murder is on the lower end of the spectrum of evil as it is soon revealed that the 31-year-old man has murdered at least 17 people, and as time goes on and more details emerge, the depths of his depravity and unimaginable desires grow ever deeper. Dahmer appeared as an open book in his confessions and interrogations and even granted access to in-depth interviews to the media, but what about those 10 years and the many miles between those two locations? FOLLOW US on SOCIAL MEDIAJoin the "Elbow Deep Club" on Patreon for just $5/Month to get more exclusive content from Even the Podcast is Afraid, like our exclusive after show "After the Podcast is Afraid" and our video only podcast show "Monthly Sacrifice" & more.Visit our website eventhepodcastisafraid.com to check out our merch, listen to more episodes, see our sponsors, and dive through our detailed archive of all the shows we have released to date & more.Keep up with what we are doing by following us on social media, you can find us on Twitter @PodcastAfraid or on Instagram @PodcastAfraid You can also follow the hosts on Twitter, @jared_ordis, @thenickster15, & @spookysam8 + you can follow Jared & Nick on Instagram, @jared.ordis and @porchetta_sandwichEven the Podcast is Afraid is part of the Crawlspace Media Network, be sure to checkout their website to see all the shows offered on the CSM network.SPONSORS & MORE MENTIONED in this EPISODESOUTHERN ODDITIES is an upcoming podcast from host Jared Ordis, which premieres on November 16th, 2020 on all your favorite podcast listening apps. This one is gory and gruesome so there's your trigger warning. We wanted to keep in line with the spooky season so we got two sick tickets for you! First Marissa talks about the not-serial killer (?) but a freak Ed Gein. He may have only technically killed two people but... he did some other unsavory stuff. He is creative-- give ya that. Then Anna talks about very much a serial killer, the infamous Jeffrey Dahmer. There was a lot to cover. What. A. Sicko.

Dennis Nilsen: The UK's Jeffrey Dahmer | The Muswell Hill Murderer | The Kindly Killer

Play
Read more

Happy Labor Day!This week, Drewby and Yergy take another trip across the pond and delve into the horrors of Dennis Nilsen, whose crimes bear striking similarities to that of our own Jeffrey Dahmer. We also discuss the upcoming 3 part miniseries "Des," starring David Tennant as Dennis Nilsen - which we are very excited for.

Dennis Andrew Nilsen was a Scottish serial killer and necrophile who murdered at least twelve young men and boys between 1978 and 1983 in London, England. Convicted of six counts of murder and two of attempted murder, Nilsen was sentenced to life imprisonment on November 4th, 1983, with a recommendation that he serve a minimum of 25 years.

All of Nilsen's murders were committed in the two North London addresses in which he resided between 1978 and 1983. His victims would be lured to these addresses and killed by strangulation, sometimes accompanied by drowning. Following each murder, Nilsen would observe a ritual in which he bathed and dressed the victim's body, which he retained for extended periods of time, before dissecting and disposing of the remains by burning on a bonfire or flushing down the toilet. He died in prison on May 12, 2018 of a pulmonary embolism and retro-peritoneal hemorrhage.

47. Derf: on Jeffrey Dahmer, his book on the Kent State Massacre, & groupies

Derf sells a nude portrait of his sixth-grade teacher for $2 and starts his career as a cartoonist-turned-bomb thrower who could be found in the pages of that “other” newspaper you saw at off-brand coffee shops. We talk about Mad Magazine, National Lampoon, and the rest of the cartoon underground, and how a grown-ass man draws cartoons for a living. Then we dive into Derf’s graphic novel and subsequent movie about his high school days with serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, his new book about the untold story behind the Kent State Massacre and the death of White Innocence, and how the cycle comes full circle 50 years later. Finally, who gets better groupies: talking-head journalists, cartoonists, or Van Halen?  We investigate.

Jeffrey Dahmer & The Effect on the Milwaukee LGBT Community

Play
Read more

It's our anniversary! Thank you so much to all of our listeners that have been with us on this crazy ride. We appreciate all that you do and cannot wait to see what this next year brings. To help celebrate, this week we are releasing the heavily anticipated "Dahmer Episode" guest starring the one and only Eddy!

Jeffrey Dahmer and his crimes in the late 80's and early 90's shook the US. The murders of almost 2 dozen men and boys, many gay men of color, sent waves of fear through the city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; in particular the LGBT community, which was already suffering through the turmoil of the AIDS epidemic, as well as prejudicial violence.

Rather than discuss Dahmer and his crimes as a whole, Drewby and Yergy do a deep dive on how his crimes affected the LGBT community, and if there was any lasting effect today. We shed light on how Milwaukee for the time was something of an unexpected beacon for the community, developing progressive policies that became the model for anti-discrimination legislation that we see today across the United States.

Eddy gives an invaluable first hand account of LGBT life in Milwaukee, as well as his own Dahmer connection, and how natives - both in and outside the LGBT community, view Dahmer's crimes and the effect they have on Milwaukee today.
