Idiotville #119: Women Have to Work Harder to Be Even Recognized - with Hannah Kirby
Idiotville: Erie, PA’s Favorite Podcast
#BLM It's a full house this week! Dill Spears makes his triumphant return to Idiotville, and is joined in-studio by the whole team: Brent Liberty, Jake News, Marty Balawkay, and a very distracted Ted Brogan, who's caught in a fantasty draft vortex that he manages to stay awake for. Our guest this week is Hannah Kirby, the owner/operator of Ember + Forge, our great local coffee house. (it's located at 401 State Street in Erie, open 8am - 2pm Monday through Saturday www.emberandforge.com/) Dill explains his absences as of late and gives an update on his wife's illness. As an aside, I'd really like to thank everyone for their support! We really appreciate it!We touch, briefly, on some local news, then, because Ted Brogan decided to provide us with Bud Heavy, we get into a few stories about the first time we ever got drunk. If you've got a good one, drop us a note on our social media, and we'll read the best ones on the show in the upcoming weeks. Hannah gives us some great backstory as to why she transitioned from her former career as an engineer to her current endeavor. Just remember that an Engineer with an MBA is going to have a great plan! She also gives her side of the story on the events of May 30 and how she feels about that night, and what we should be concentrating on going forwardThe Beer Segment: Marty's obsession with anything New Trail makes is once again to our benefit, and yours, as we come across one of the highest-rated beers we've ever done on Idiotville: Shades. It's a Double Hazy New England IPA and we gave it a 4.5/5 rating! It's super hot, coming in at 9.1 abv, but it's totally worth a try!================================================================================www.idiotvillepodcast.buzzsprout.com www.patreon.com/idiotvillepodcast - It's back!================================================================================Our theme song is composed and performed by Warehouse 11: Guitars by Brian Blake, drums by Dave Blake, bass by Chris Owochttps://www.facebook.com/Warehouse11Band/ http://www.warehouseelevenband.yolasite.com/================================================================================www.idiotvillepodcast.comwww.facebook.com/idiotvillepodcastinstagram: idiotvillepodcastTwitter: @BrentNLibery, @TheRealJakeNew1, @Dill_spears, @TedBrogan2, @MartyBalawkayidiotvillepodcast@gmail.comJoin our Facebook group! The first person to read this far and tweet a screenshot with the phrase "Karate Dancing" to @Dill_Spears wins an Idiotville Prize Pack!Support the show (http://Patreon.com/idiotvillepodcast)
