NY Assemblymember Carmen De La Rosa (D-72) talks about the first-of-its-kind $2.1 billion excluded workers fund included in the fiscal year 2022 New York State Budget. Most undocumented workers and other workers who missed out on COVID-19 relief (unemployment, stimulus checks) will be eligible to receive either $3,200 or $15,600. Rosa explains what will be needed for the application as well as the uphill battle some applicants will face in aggregating the required documents in order to benefit from the fund.

In November 2016, Carmen was elected to the NYS Assembly, becoming the second woman to ever represent the 72nd Assembly District. She is currently running for NYC City Council-District 10.
