Mahima sees the universality of the 3 Principles in all human experience and the pure potential that humans can work from when opening up to insight. Her innate curiosity expanded her world to working in many diverse fields and following her heart to whatever comes next. Mahima’s hope for humans is that we learn to pause a second and look at life through fresh eyes.
062: How to Keep Your Presence of Mind in Times of Crisis with Mahima Shrestha
Real Business Real Lives
As a crisis communications consultant, Mahima Shrestha is familiar with high-stakes, high-stress, urgent situations. It is a common misconception that these situations must be met with highly-charged, high-stress responses to be effective. It is also an industry that heavily relies on protocol, training, and planning to best prepare for an uncertain and unknown outcome. Though planning is essential, it does not guarantee certainty. As Mahima says, “in the moment of a crisis, there’s nothing else to rely on except presence of mind.” With an extensive background in media and crisis communications, Mahima Shrestha is obsessed with bringing bright people together to find solutions to complex problems. Over the years she has handled PR, media relations and corporate communications for government, multilateral, private and non-profit organizations in a wide range of sectors including aviation, hydropower, finance, healthcare and more. As a crisis communications consultant, she works with entrepreneurs, think tanks and innovators as well as organizations and individuals involved in a range of high stakes situations.
RMP 035: Mahima Shrestha - Real World Realisations
Get Clarity with Jamie Smart
This episode is an interview I did with Mahima Shrestha during a module of the Clarity Coach Training Programme. The previous day, one of the students had asked, "This stuff is all well and good, but how do these principles work in the case of 'real stuff'". Mahima was able to give a personal account of exactly that, as she had a huge insight when she was caught in the 2015 Nepal earthquake. Mahima is a crisis management consultant who’s passionate about bringing people together, finding solutions to complex problems and facilitating long-term change in culture and communities. And one of the interesting things about Mahima is that she’s got a background in journalism and PR. For full show notes, please visit http://www.jamiesmart.com/rmp035
