What's up, guys? It is October once again which means Oktoberfest and Halloween! This year, there is no staying indoors due to COVID; anything goes! To kick off the month, I brought back one of my oldest guests who is passionate, knowledgeable and an all-around smart lady. Jennifer Golden, who runs The Vreamery in Paso Robles, rejoined the program where we catch up while train and car sounds in the background lighten the mood. We also talk about how Bill Gates may be on the verge of great things with lab grown meat, why the dairy free cheese industry needs to not use casein in the new stretchable dairy free cheese and all the fascinating ways that veganism has shaped our way of thinking of the past few years. I thoroughly enjoyed having this fantastic woman back on and there is so much more to listen to so, what are you waiting for? TUNE IN NOW!! Website - https://thevreamery.com/

Episode 115 Recovery: A Love Story with Jennifer Golden Re-igniting love with her ex-husband in recovery. Jennifer Golden is a living proof that you can change your life, and change your relationships once you get sober. For a long time, Jennifer lived a life where every ounce of energy she went to drinking alcohol. Jennifer’s life revolved around when, where, how, and how much she could drink. But on August 12, 2015, she woke up, looked in the mirror, and said NO MORE. She joined the local gym and found that working out took her mind off of drinking. So she kept going every day. She is now 4 1/2 years sober and the blessings keep coming! She loves to share my purpose in her story to help others who are suffering because you aren't alone and we do recover. Jen is a mom to a 12-year-old boy, works full time in the garbage industry, and is an independent representative for an Activewear company called Zyia Active. It has been almost two years since I had Jennifer Golden of The Vreamery on my program and since then, I have switched gears from hosting a podcast that rants and haas lots of unfiltered social commentary to a program that deals almost exclusively with vegan news and guests. Having this wonderful woman back on almost feels like being home because, since we last talked, we have both grown in our ideals and learned tons of new information that has shaped our perception of the world for the better. Not only that, but she is now on the precipice of finally opening up her shop at the Paso Walk in Paso Robles! I couldn't be more excited for her and I had to get her back on the re-vamped show. Keep in mind that this was over the phone and I was recording in less than stellar conditions so, if you can make it past all the technical things, then this is definitely a segment that you won't want to miss. TUNE IN NOW!!
Jen shares her story and journey to quit drinking in her forties and how she picked up weights after getting sober as a tool in her recovery. She is open and honest about being single and taking care of her body through diet and exercise and shares what she is doing now in the gym and the kitchen. Her Instagram account has become one of her top tools in her recovery, and we talk a lot about how she started and grew her account through deep connections and tons of support from others. She is someone that not only encourages us to be our best through her posts but supports and gives loves to others on their accounts. She is a JOY and is as real as real gets. She is also funny, and her Texan accent will make you love her even more! Reach out to Jen on her Instagram Reach out to Lori email@example.com. Instagram www.lorimassicot.com
