Oddysee FM on Echobox Radio w/ Vladimir Ivkovic
Oddysee
We recently had the honour of catching up with Salon des Amateurs resident Vladimir Ivkovic for our second radio show on Echobox. Fresh from playing Dekmantel Selectors, Fabric and at his favourite pub, The Gun, we talked about his experience of playing multiple gigs abroad for the first time again, as well as what he’s been working on for his label, Offen Music. Furthermore, Vladimir treated us to an hour-long beautiful soundscape, which was created in preparation to playing Dekmantel Selectors, featuring some of his favourite old, new and forthcoming music.https://soundcloud.com/vladimir https://soundcloud.com/offenmusic

Wire Podcast 03: Vladimir Ivkovic
Wire Podcast
Vladimir Ivkovic is one of dance’s music’s most enigmatic figures. Though he has been involved in club music for about two decades as a promoter and DJ, he garnered fame more recently as a resident at Düsseldorf’s Salons des Amateurs club alongside Lena Willikens, Toulouse Low Trax and Wolf Muller. His unique wrong-speed selections helped to maintain this following, earning him big festival slots around the world and reaching a peak as Resident Advisor invited him to guest on their “Art of DJing” feature. Upon first look the Belgrade born DJ could be perceived as a mystically opaque if not intimidating Rasputin character. But behind the beard is a tender and gentle man who goes about life seeking moments of beauty, nostalgia, love, friendship and deep listening. In this third Wire podcast, Vladimir and our host Oli discuss his new IDM compilation with Ivan Smagghe, managing Loco Dice’s Desolat label, playing Wire with fellow “freaks” Simon Scott and Conor Thomas and the recurrence of memory.

#313 - Dame Area, Adrian Younge, Mainliner, Teresa Winter, Vladimir Ivkovic, CZLT - 15 February 2021
Independent Music Podcast
We often go full fat on the Independent Music Podcast, but with so many mammoth records on this show, we've had to give you morsels of the full glory. Whether that is a 6-minute snippet of 45mins of Balkan choral chanting, 2 minutes of 25 minute Indian-infused metal, or five minutes of the absolutely ear-meltingly good new record from Japanese legends Mainliner, there's plenty of good stuff to get stuck in to. Elsewhere, an early contender for banger of the year from Dame Area on Mannequin Records, there's dub-infused synth music from Teresa Winter, Swedish-Senegalese collaboration as Wau Wau Collectif and much more. Tracklisting Adrian Younge - The American Negro (Jazz is Dead, USA) El Michels Affair - Murkit Gem (Big Crown Records, USA) Vladimir Ivkovic - Gospels for Moopie (excerpt) (Fleetway Tapes, Australia) Phil Langero - Bodily Extremis (self-release, Ireland) Wau Wau Collectif - Salamaleikoum (Sahel Sounds, USA) Mainliner - Blasphemy Hunter (excerpt) (Riot Season, UK) Teresa Winter - Love Crime (Boomkat Editions, UK) Dame Area - La Danza Del Ferro (Mannequin Records, Germany) CZLT - Junkyard (WV Sorcerer Productions, France / Ascetic Visions, UK / Homo-Sensibilis, Belgium) Mark Cunningham - Osaka Night (Humanhood Recordings) Produced and edited by Nick McCorriston.

Dekmantel Podcast 115 - Vladimir Ivkovic
Dekmantel Podcast Series
German DJ Vladimir Ivkovic is resident at Dusseldorf’s Salon des Amateurs, and he has truly made the place his own over the last 12 years. Quite what to expect from him on any given night is anyone’s guess: he can do folk and experimental, sludgy techno or abrasive noise that is always original and arresting in equal measure. The Belgrade born artist also runs Offen Music and manages Loco Dice’s Desolat, and this year will close down our Selector’s stage, something we're truly looking forward to.And it is that fact which informs the 80 minute podcast he has done for us here. Designed for soul soothing and post party contemplation, it is a meditative mix with basically no drums. Instead it is about suspensory ambient sounds, worldly lullabies and blissed out Balearic moments that encourage you to lay back and stare into the sky. As beautiful as it is beguiling, it is a mix that has us very excited for what is to come and proves what a singular talent this man is.
