Chris Christensen is a podcaster, blogger, journalist, and software veteran with over 40 years experience with Silicon Valley and tech firms working for IBM, HP, Apple, and more. Since 2005 he has been podcasting with his weekly amateur traveler show and Christian faith podcast. He has also been running a biweekly “this week in travel” podcast for about a decade. Chris has won a Lowell Thomas Award from the Society of American Travel Writers (SATW), 5 North America Travel Journalism Association (NATJA) awards and was called the "Best Independent Travel Journalist" by Travel & Leisure Magazine in their annual SMITTY Awards. It’s 9000 feet so you’ll want to acclimate.   Gary: Galapagos islands of North America Haida Gwaii an archipelago off British Columbia’s west coast, in Canada. Where the Alaskan panhandle ends. You’ll see the other type of sea lions up there. Very few people know about it or visit the UNESCO world heritage site on the island. SG̱ang Gwaay Llanagaay. The last place on earth where you can see original totem poles.     Chris: Paso Robles, CA. The region has matured in my lifetime. 300 different wineries and a distillery trail.
