In this message Alan Kirkpatirck shares about our new nature as Son’s and Daughters of the Ultimate Father. What should our response be to Jesus’ life? We are learning to lay down our own agenda and desires for the greater desire. To see Jesus Glorified; and to see Jesus’ Kingdom come “on Earth as it is in Heaven“Then Jesus said to his disciples, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross, and follow me.” Matthew 16:24

“…If God be for us, who can be against us?” Romans 8:31 Did you know that God has MADE the way for you? His heart is fully turned towards you! Let’s talk about it this Sunday and online. #Romans #Bristol #BristolHope #BristolTwp #Bristolboro See you @ 10am this Sunday!
This Sunday we will be exploring the topic of Jesus being led into the wilderness by the Holy Spirit – If Jesus was led into the desert & the wilderness, maybe that is a pattern that God uses in our lives too?
How do we Stay on the Road with Jesus & focus on life, rather than on just our existence? We have heard from Pastor Dave that we are triune in nature, and that life is more than existence, and that our Spirit is secure with Him – but what does that look like for the other part – the Soul, in the day to day walk along the road? How do we Stay on the Road with Jesus, and focus on life, rather than on just existence?
We all want to be changed. But how? What if our hearts deceive us. What if we don’t really want to sin? – but our hearts are telling us the opposite. The heart can make us believe that we want to sin, that we want whatever is tempting us in the moment. But, what if a key to overcoming this sin & temptation cycle is receiving God’s grace in the moment of temptation? What does it look like to receive God’s empowering grace to overcome and be transformed into the image of Christ? Jeremiah 17:9-10 “The heart is deceitful above all things, And desperately wicked; Who can know it? 10 I, the Lord, search the heart, I test the mind…” (NKJV) Romans 7:11 “For sin, seizing the opportunity afforded by the commandment, deceived me, and through the commandment put me to death.” (NIV)
