Ryan Williams (comedian, writer) returns to the show to take on Canada's Rebel Media, our pathetic answer to the American alt-right community, and he goes straight to the top, catching a block from its founder, Ezra Levant. Elsewhere, John is home alone this week as Becca visits her family, and we talk about how he started it by watching a documentary about the making of Forrest Gump and taking a nap. Luckily Ryan picks up the slack for John's boring Sunday by telling one of the craziest stories we've ever heard on the show, and then follows that up (after doing his own segue) by telling the second craziest story we've ever heard on the show. The Blocked Boys try to keep up, as we get into "sex arses", construction sites, getting vaccinated, and John finds one of the more cursed poems we've ever read. If you'd like some less cursed content, you can head on over to patreon.com/blockedparty, where $5/month gets you access to THREE bonus episodes every single month. This week, we're bringing our friend Melissa Stetten on for another CanCon episode as we watch a couple episodes of the girls' coming-of-age dramedy "Ready or Not" and it gets a bit wild. Plus, BPD&D2 launches this month and you won't wanna miss it! Ryan Williams is a stand-up comedian whose podcast, the ThunderBronco Sports podcast, will be launching in September. You can follow him for details on that and everything else he's up to on Twitter and Instagram at @Ryannornot.
This week I’m talking to Ryan Williams the Chairman of the Jersey Green Room Club, an amateur dramatics society that was founded in 1909. Outside of his job in HR, Ryan devotes a lot of time to supporting various local charities. In this episode I find out how he became involved in the running of these charities at such a young age, where his love for the arts began and how as a self confessed workaholic, he’s finding time to rebalance his life post lockdown. You can find out more about Ryan on LinkedIn, The Jersey Green Room Club on their website and Jersey Dips on Facebook.-----------------------------------------------------------To join the conversation head to @ink_blot_creative on Instagram or @InkBlot Creative Limited on LinkedIn.Music: Summer, composed by Christina Orchard https://soundcloud.com/christina-orchard

Ryan Williams: Stronger Through Adversity (Part 2)
Acta Non Verba
On today’s episode Ryan Williams returns to continue the conversation on the transition from operations to leadership, as well as how Ryan approaches problem-solving within his organization. We also discuss the advantages to working behind the scenes and how Ryan prefers to lead from the background. Ryan Williams, a former Navy SEAL, experienced entrepreneur and founder of Industry Threadworks. As he was building his previous apparel brands, he noticed that most print shops were notoriously unreliable, inaccurate, and had generally poor communication. After hearing from many of his peers who had their own companies and were dealing with similar issues sourcing apparel, he decided to create Industry Threadworks to address those common problems. In doing so, he created an accurate, reliable and friendly solution for companies that want to place a turn-key order package, and return to focusing on running their own businesses, having peace of mind that their product will be printed according to spec, and delivered on time, consistently.
