Women: What is Girl Code and Kelechi & Candice vs Clemmie Hooper
Dope Black Dads Podcast
Would you ever date a friend's ex? How do you tell your best friend that she's wrong? Are you your friend's biggest cheerleaders? On this week's episode, Leanne, Liv and Shan discuss the unwritten rules of girl code, what girl code actually means to them and whether there are any times where it is acceptable to cross the line. In this week's Dope Black Chat, the ladies discuss the recent controversy in the Mummy Blogger community between Clemmie Hooper, Kelechi and Candice Brathwaite. It came out the other week that Clemmie had been trolling fellow Mummy bloggers and leaving racist abuse on Candice's page. As a result of Kelechi calling this out, her Instagram account was taken down. To deal with bullies Clemmie became a bully and silenced black women in the process. Together the Dope Black Women discuss this issue, what consequences they think Clemmie should face and what more platforms like Instagram should be doing instead of silencing black voices. The Dope Black Women Podcast is all about bringing black women together to discuss the topics that matter to us, connect and support with each other and through our digital sisterhood. Your hosts are: Leanne Levers, Roshan Roberts, Olivia Cope You can follow Dope Black Women online at @DopeBlackWomen1 on Twitter and Instagram and Dope Black Women on Facebook

After experiencing physical changes during and after pregnancy, women also need to align themselves with a new identity - that of a mother. As well as dealing with breastfeeding, the tired skin of new parenthood and a lack of time to spend on themselves, there’s an immense pressure new mothers often face to be a “supermum.” Is there a secret minimal make-up routine for new parents? Should they ditch the make-up altogether? Can any product out there hide the fact that new parents face approximately 6 years worth of sleep deprivation? Sali is joined by midwife, mother of four and parenting blogger Clemmie Hooper (aka @motherofdaughters) to talk about their experiences of new motherhood and they both take your questions in the surgery. Have a question for Sali and the experts? Or even a suggestion for a topic for us to cover on the podcast? The Hotbed Collective kicks off the fourth series of the Hotbed podcast by talking to midwife and Instagram star Clemmie Hooper, aka Mother of Daughters. We interview her about the wonderful world of vulvas, body knowledge, post-birth recovery and how Clemmie herself manages to get her leg over despite having four kids in the house. Anniki is particularly interested in the topic as she’s just had a baby herself, and she talks through what’s made her bits a bit better. Recorded at Soho Studios. Clemmie Hooper is a midwife and mother of four daughters who is best known for her instagram account @mother_of_daughters. Clemmie’s account is not just pretty, but challenging and thought-provoking as well (not unlike Clemmie herself!).I visited Clemmie’s stunning home on a chilly November day and was thrilled when she told me she was making me a warming chicken and chorizo stew.
