Kill By Kill: Talking Horror Characters One Death At A Time

Ready for one last present? The gift that keeps on giving is Fear No Evil and here to help us send it to heaven or hell is the one and only Jonathan Barkan. Along the way, we all discuss the geometry of demonic crotch shots, why Patti Smith is so popular in blue collar dive bars, six-shooter fingering techniques and the diaphanous lingerie wear of fallen angels. Of course we nail ourselves to the cross of Choose Your Own Death-venture and meet our two new favorite characters: Community Theatre Jesus and NBC's Chicago Dad. Listen immediately, if not sooner!! 51: Lord of Illusions (w/ Jonathan Barkan)

Strong Language & Violent Scenes Podcast

Well, all that build up to our first year and it's flown by. That's that. We are now in year two. So it's on with EPISODE 51!  This week, Andy and Mitch are joined by the Editor-In-Chief of Dread Central, it's Jonathan Barkan!  His chosen film? Lord of Illusions! Writer/Director follows up Nightbreed with this, an adaptation of his own short story The Last Illusion in a bizarre (depending on the version you've watched) film that, while very Barker, is a weird best that demands closer scrutiny. How does it hold up?  Private eye Harry D'Amour travels to Los Angeles and meets with a new client, Dorothea Swann. Swann reveals that she and her husband -- famed magician Philip Swann -- have been targeted by a religious cult experimenting with reincarnation. After Philip dies on stage in the midst of a dangerous trick, D'Amour must struggle to protect Dorothea from the ruthless cult members and their newly reanimated religious leader, Nix. Please note that this episode contains strong language, conversations of an adult nature and EXTREMELY Scottish accents.  Remember, you can keep up to date with our news by following us via the usual social media outlets:  Facebook Twitter Instagram Plus you can drop us an email to stronglanguageviolentscenes@gmail.com.
