Who Gives A Crap | Tim Baxter on using a profit-for-purpose model to tackle global sanitation
One Wild Ride
When Who Gives A Crap learnt that 2.3 billion people across the world didn’t have access to a toilet, which led to around 289,000 children’s deaths each year from diarrhoeal diseases - they decided to do something about it. Through their profit-for-purpose model they sell loo paper, paper towel and tissues, and donate a whopping 50% of their profits to help build toilets in less developed countries. To date they’ve donated 1.8 million dollars to charity, not to mention saved an awful lot of trees, water and energy during their environmentally friendly production and supply model. We sat down with Growth Marketing Manager Tim Baxter to discover how this little Aussie wonder has grown from it’s crowdfunded routes to a growing global empire that is purpose-built for change. https://onewildride.co/podcast/2019/17/tim-baxter-who-gives-a-crap
