Earn the Right to Live Your Dreams
Andy Lausier is a leader who has a MONSTER vision for his program. The Head Coach of Sacred Heart University Wrestling, Lausier recently cycled 1,100 miles over 7 days to help raise $130,000 for his program. This accomplishment is simply EXTRAORDINARY! In addition to elevating one of the most underfunded programs in NCAA Division I sports, he took on a challenge that almost broke him. In fact, at one point Lausier claims he "saw the devil" as he was ready to give up. But then he shifted his mind from "have to" to "get to" and was able to finish an INSANE challenge. This episode is all about helping you learn how to shift your mindset so you can go out and achieve awesome things. Focus on being blessed for what you get to do and the results will fall into place. If you enjoy the episode, please be sure to share it with friends so we can help them reach their full potential and make the world a MUCH cooler place! Sacred Heart coach Andy Lausier is Spinning 2 St. Louis, riding over 1,000 miles for the program's fundraiser - ST280
Short Time Wrestling Podcast
Sacred Heart head wrestling coach Andy Lausier will make his second appearance on the Short Time Wrestling Podcast as he comes back with a crazy idea for Episode 280. Last year, Lausier and assistant coach Derek Moore ran 60 miles from Fairfield, Conn., to New York City in the March to MSG as a fundraiser for SHU wrestling. This year, Lausier is getting a little nutty and he'll be Spinning 2 St. Louis, riding his bike through nine states and over 1,000 miles in one week to raise money for the program yet again. He'll also make sure his wrestlers are peddling along with him back at school every step of the way as they will be riding bikes during the entire trip with him. Lausier took over the worst team in Division I four years ago. How is their progress and what does former Major League Baseball manager Bobby Valentine, the school's A.D., think of it? SHOW YOUR GRATITUDE, AND I'LL SHOW YOU MINE! Sacred Heart head coach Andy Lausier's going to run 60 miles - ST211
Short Time Wrestling Podcast
With little success historically, Andy Lausier knew what he was getting into when he took over the Sacred Heart wrestling program four years ago. On Episode 211 of the Short Time Wrestling Podcast, we'll talk with Lausier about his post at Sacred Heart and the plans he and assistant Derek Moore have on October 22-24 when the two will run 60 miles to Madison Square Garden as a fundraiser for the program. A Division III All-American at Lycoming, Lausier is one of two head wrestling coaches in Division I who were Division III athletes. He'll break down his rise through the coaching ranks and how supportive the administration has been, including Athletic Director Bobby Valentine, a former Major League Baseball player and manager. You can donate to the Sacred Heart #MarchtoMSG by clicking here. Note: We talk about the University of Oregon battle based on comments from this story from The Oregonian.
