Feral Horses is a relatively new online platform which, in 2017, launched a radical approach to democratizing art ownership. In response to the high cost of contemporary "fine art" and the subsequent alienation of potential collectors and patrons, Feral Horses proposes communal ownership of single artworks, essentially allowing users to purchase portions of the pieces they love for a fraction of the whole's price.
