We are over the moon to share this weeks mix with you. It’s a very special one from a very special lady that’s going straight to the top. Hailing all the way from Newcastle England, Meg Ward is an underground DJ who intertwines multiple genres including house, techno, disco, garage and hip-hop within her well established sets. Most recently her release, Phenol House slingshot her straight to the cover of Spotify’s ‘UK House Music’ playlist and she sits there pretty amongst the likes of Gorgon City, Hot Since 82, Jamie Jones and Gorgon City to name a few."This mix is a delve into the darker side of my music taste. I wanted to create a whole journey that could send anyone a bit loopy, especially at the end of a heavy night. Imagine a dark afters, full of people not really knowing where they are.I tried to jump through genres and capture the vibe changes with each transition: starting off slow with see mask and bonobo, then heading a bit deeper with paranoid london and pangea, followed by a darker dubstep twist at the end with tracks from skream, enigma dubz and enno. Hope you enjoy the journey."
EP 31 -Thriving in Pressure with Meg Ward Your host // Nat Hodges Our guest // Meg Ward This week the NXT LVL crew chats with Meg Ward, a local legend from Sanford who plays Women's Rugby at the highest level. Meg scored her spot on the Australian team in 2017. She also works as a firefighter in the Australian Defence Force. She grew up active - an athlete living in a close-knit community, surrounded by nature in the country - looking up to her hard-working father. Meg and her family are massive Brisbane Broncos fans, and putting on the Broncos jersey was a true dream come true for her. Over the years, she has fallen in love with the game (and process) and bestows some powerful wisdom on how we to can navigate high-pressure situations, fear, uncertainty and learning from mistakes throughout our own life endeavours. We also discuss what it was like coming out to her parents and embracing who YOU truly are and being your authentic self in this lifetime. Confidence, finding your community and going back to the WHY (family) are huge themes in Meg’s life. Happy listening crew! Connect with Meg Instagram: @mwardy3 Email: email@example.com
