Sheer Isolation 43 - Margaret Bryant (Devizes Festival)
Last week, the organisers of the Devizes Festival confirmed that Covid has forced them into cancelling their two-week long programme of June events for the second year running. Margaret Bryant joins us on Sheer Isolation to share what it's like being part of the Devizes team, her highlights from previous festivals, and how the team never shy away from inviting well known and controversial people to join their line-up. In other news, we look at the concept of introducing rapid Covid testing into the UK's nightclubs and music events this summer. Our music selection includes a couple of tracks from 2016 for no other reason than coincidence - from Exeter's Jonah Hitchens and the Bristol based Homegrown Collective. This episode was created by Kieran Moore in Trowbridge and Jon Ponting in Cricklade. Musicians are very welcome to send us videos to feature as well as any news or gigs - virtual or otherwise - firstname.lastname@example.org
