WeCrashed Jared Leto Series Review | Hack & Grow Rich | Episode 154
Hack And Grow Rich Podcast
The true story of how WeWork turned from a tech unicorn that was apparently worth jaw-slackeningly gigantic sums of money to a bad farce has been turned into a new series, WeCrashed, based on the podcast series of the same name and starring Jared Leto as Neumann and Anne Hathaway as his wife Rebekah. SUBSCRIBE NOW ➡️ https://bit.ly/39Sts5u ▶ Video Transcript: I think what happened was that they came out at a very high valuation. So they were going to go public at a valuation of some insane thing like 47 billion, some ridiculous number that I think our brains can't even calculate. And then Softbank came in, some issues happened. And finally, I think the CEO left, apparently I'm not finished watching the whole series. And they did go public, but at a much lower valuation, something like eight or 9 billion from what I understand. But it's it's a fascinating story. ▶ About Shaahin:Shaahin Cheyene is an Author, Speaker and Leading Amazon Expert. There’s a lot that goes into what Jared Leto calls “immersive” (rather than method) acting. The Academy Award winner is well-known for his full-bodied screen transformations, and here reveals his thinking behind them—even though each has involved a completely organic approach, borne out of an obsessive curiosity around characters. Jared’s top tip for working actors? Don’t ask for permission to take risks and embrace failure. “Everyone’s got their process,” he says. “People should explore and experiment—you’re artists. Be bold, be brave, break some shit. And never, ever apologize for it.”Born in Louisiana and a student of visual art and filmmaking in Washington D.C. and New York City, Jared moved to Los Angeles in 1992 with only a couple hundred dollars to his name. After breaking into Hollywood with “My So-Called Life” and starring in “Prefontaine,” “Requiem for a Dream,” “Panic Room,” “American Psycho,” and more, he took a years-long break from acting to focus on writing and producing music with his band, Thirty Seconds to Mars. Then, his performance in “Dallas Buyers Club” earned accolades aplenty including an Oscar, followed by equally acclaimed work in “Suicide Squad” as the Joker, “Blade Runner 2049,” “The Little Things,” and now, Ridley Scott’s SAG Award–nominated “House of Gucci.” Jared will next star in Marvel and Sony’s “Morbius” and the Apple TV+ miniseries “WeCrashed.” Read more of his thoughts on acting here: https://bit.ly/3FUpI0U---Backstage has been the #1 resource for actors and talent-seekers for 60 years. Episode 209 - Jared Leto is the Literal Devil | Hidden in Plain Sight
Hidden In Plain Sight
After Brandon received this sacred text at Americafest I knew it was destined to become an episode. Everyone so often a piece of literature effects me in a way that alters the course of my life. In this case I learned that just because you can write a book does not mean you should. Folks, this book was 150 pages and it still took me 4 days to read and write up this episode because each page wasn’t merely written word. It was an exploration of irrationality at at turn. Font size changing for no reason, inserting pictures, rehashing something that had been said only a handful of page earlier. It was like reading Finnegans wake if someone hit Joyce with a brick until he had the same IQ as the object used to bludgeon him. That said it felt good to dive deep into the weirdo kingdom. This is the raw and uncut weirdo. No media has diluted it with their grubby paws. This is the dmt of literature and I love every second of it. So strap in for a throwback style Space Weirdo Friday. Let’s get weird. If you enjoyed the show, please Like & Subscribe to our channel and share the links.
