Who Killed Christine Diefenbach? w/ Attorney Michelle Kaszuba

Many thanks to this week's guest,  Michelle Kaszuba, who works for the Financial Crimes and Money Laundering Bureau of the Suffolk District Attorney's Office and belongs to a specialized unit that investigates wrongful convictions and claims of innocence.

She joined me to discuss the murder of Christine Diefenbach in 1988.

The case remains unsolved and this is Michelle's "Passion Case".

"According to reports the murder happened on a Sunday morning. Christine left her home on 125th Street around 7:30 a.m. She was walking to a corner store to buy the Sunday paper and a gallon of milk."

"NYPD officials say the evidence into 14-year-old Christine Diefenbach's killing in Richmond Hill is being examined, but would not identify exactly what it is". 2/9/19

Please welcome Michelle Kaszuba into the DIE-ALOGUE!

I met Michelle earlier this year, though it feels like I have known her forever. She came to play true crime trivia, we connected after the show, and I was super impressed by her business card which read Assistant District Attorney, Borough of Queens! What a badass.

As we continued to spend time ( and trade texts), I learned how Michelle approaches her work as a prosecutor, and how passionate she is for missing persons and cold cases. I think you will not only love hearing her story and learning about her work, but will also feel so confident, knowing that people like Michelle are using their influence and power responsibly and always with justice as the motive.

The non-profit we talk about is Private Investigations for the Missing.
