Lost Interview Mikaela Shiffrin finally played for all of us to I wanted to thank my good friends Jon Goldman, Mike Waldrip for helping this all come together starting clear back in 2014 and now, today it has become a podcast! So I would like to extend a hand of gratitude out to both of them for all of their dedication to this great project and all the work and true sacrifice and all of the extra effort spent by you both. I know that I didn't always see all of the dedication and time that was spent but I still appreciate all that you've done over the years and I say, thank you, thank you, thank you! As a young boy living in the Grand Canyon State of Arizona as I grew up in Flagstaff Arizona and and lived on the famous road, Route 66. It was my home then but nowadays, I usually just drive the old road listening on my radio Van Halen, Missing Persons, The Psychedelic Furs, or maybe Led Zeppelin, David Bowie, Steely Dan or the always great Pink Floyd. I try to ski off of the famously nostalgic Route 66 at the Arizona Snowbowl or Sunrise Park Resort. Ahh but you can look for me on the way to ski other places as I pass through some of America's great towns off Route 66 between California and New Mexico. I drive past Kingman to Las Vegas and on to ski the great Lee Canyon, Mammoth Mountains. I go to Holbrook and then go South to Sunrise Park Resort. Or I'll drive North going to Durango to ski Purgatory, Telluride, Vail and most of the Colorado resorts. I ski all over in New Mexico going through Albuquerque to Ski Santa Fe and maybe Sipapu Ski while driving to Ski Taos or Angel Fire all great skiing and all in New Mexico. What I enjoy most is to be just off the neon lights of the famously nostalgic Route 66 as I drive to find snow to ski on... Laughter Permitted makes its way to Colorado to meet up with Mikaela Shiffrin, who is one of the best alpine skiers on the planet and, perhaps equally as important, a bona fide donut lover. Mikaela is fresh off a monumental season in which she broke a 30-year-old record by winning 17 World Cup races in one season, captured four crystal globes -- which means she is the best in the world in four skiing disciplines -- and won her third straight overall World Cup title. She also has three Olympic medals. And did we mention she's only 24?! Mikaela talks about this past season, shares her strategy for dealing with fear and gets candid about her unabashed love of donuts.
