Dear Mr Knickerthief

In the final series episode, Sophie and Jahannah are joined by the hilarious comic and actress Maddy Anholt. Things get a little more serious as we open the diary on a time 'a producer' used his position of power for sexual gain, which included filming Sophie in a noose hanging from the ceiling. It seems however, she is not alone as Maddie and Jahannah both lift the lid on some of their shocking experiences and others write in with their experiences.  Twitter : @mrknickethief Instagram: @itjamesandcraig

Hoovering - Episode 44: Maddy Anholt

Hoovering

Welcome to HOOVERING, the podcast about eating. Host, Jessica Fostekew (Guilty Feminist, Motherland) has a frank conversation with an interesting person about gobbling; guzzling; nibbling; scoffing; devouring and wolfing all up… or if you will, hoovering. This week my guest is an actor and broadcaster who cracks me up as much with her bananas ideas as her jokes - it’s dear Maddy Anholt. She tries to sell me a load of crackpot bollocks about ‘skin plumping’ and we’re honest about the horror of acting castings. Oh, and she makes me the most beautiful fig and beet salad, before we smash a couple of vegan cookies all up too.RecipesMaddy made it up! But she talks us through the recipe in the opening minutes of the podcast. Roasted beetroot, walnuts and figs with olive oil, balsamic vinegar and maple syrup - 20 odd mins. Then over green leaves and crumbed feta or goats cheese on top. Honourable MentionsTHIS IS WHERE TO GET TICKETS FOR THE JANUARY LIVE SHOWS!If you want to come and see my new show in preview there are tickets available now for the LEICESTER COMEDY FESTIVAL on 22nd and 23rd FebAnd other ticket links to live stand up shows all on my website HEREAnd don’t forget to try a PRET VEGAN COOKIE they’re mighty fiiiiiiiine. And here is the THIS NAKED MIND book which Maddy mentionedOH, AndIf you have got a any spare dosh to give a month I’m on this great site called Patreon where I exchange for rewards including exclusive content for your hard earned cash which means I can keep doing and improving the podcast. Comedy Podcast | The Comedy Cast with English Comedian Maddy Anholt

Atletico Spudland

Maddy AnholtHello and welcome back to The Comedy Cast; today you’ll be hearing from English comedian/comedy character actor, Maddy Anholt. We dive straight into Maddy’s type of comedy, character comedy, what she loves about it and, if things go badly, how she can blame the characters if and when things go wrong. We go back to beginnings then and speak about growing up on Devon before moving to London to pursue a career in acting and comedy. We speak about her new show which she’ll be performing at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Herselves. A show about the different personalities we use in our daily lives. We talk about the idea behind the show and Maddy admits to liking to play different characters in her daily life with different people as well. We chat about the lack of comedians who play different characters on stage and how the people who do it find it so liberating to take on a persona and delve into comedy that wouldn’t normally suit their on-stage persona. Maddy recently set up her own TV production company, MadMaddyTV, so we get taking about the ins and outs of that, how and why she established it, and some of the common pitfalls associated with setting up one. We dig a bit more into this then and talk a bit more about the TV industry and how to get things made and what to avoid doing. We speak about Maddy studying acting and how it lead her into comedy. We speak more then about the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the kinds of things she has learned after having four successful solo shows there. And the depth to which one must go to promote shows there.
