Edward Murphy is without a doubt one of the most successful comics in history.
Despite his turbulent upbringing in Brooklyn, NY, his rise to superstardom was positively meteoric.
After joining the cast of Saturday Night Live at the age of 19, he would become one of America's biggest box office attractions, starring in films and stand-up specials that remain among the highest grossing of all time.
His material at the time was provocative and controversial, though, and in many cases, it has not aged particularly well.
This week, we're asking the question: Is Eddie Murphy the worst?
Need a little light right now? Look no further than award-winning actress & ball-of-sunshine @KylaPratt. Kyla is known for originating the role of Penny Proud, but you may know her as Eddie Murphy's daughter in the Dr. Doolittle franchise, or for currently starring on FOX's hit comedy #CallMeKat opposite @MayamBialik.
Kyla is a beloved actress, but we learn she is so much more than that. As a musician, mom, and passionate student of history, Kyla excitedly looks towards more "serious" roles on the horizon, even considering a career in producing and directing to elevate underrepresented voices (and possibly retell the incredible story of her Black Panther Uncle who was wrongly convicted of murder.) She also discusses motherhood, mental health, The Proud Family and even plays Proud family trivia. She also talks Eddy Murphy and many other Hollywood legends.

---Merry New Year!! No, in this country, we say “Happy” New Year. The guys discuss the greatest “New Years” movie of all time… Trading Places! This movie oozes so much of the essence of what made the 80’s the 80’s, through the re-telling a classic tale of “nature vs. nurture.” And of course, it was right in the middle of the meteoric arc of Eddie Murphy’s career, which included two groundbreaking stand-up comedy movies that actually played in the cinemas! They then embark on a discussion of the stand up comedy of the 80’s, which was truly a golden era. Finally, they discuss how political correctness is destroying the comedy they grew up with… can I get an awomen?
