08 | The Power of Story | Joey Taylor

Be the Difference

Joey Taylor is the Director of Bespoken Live, a storytelling, story-listening, and mindfulness program designed to create safe space for people to find their voice together. With experience in interfaith engagement and community development in the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Cincinnati, his commitment to story began when he was encouraged to develop youth programming in the face of political and religious polarization and social isolation. In this week’s episode, Joey shares his experiences with story - from engaging youth in Cincinnati through storytelling experiences, to creating an online community to share a cup of coffee and a story, all while learning that healing is possible when we tell our stories. Hear why storytelling makes a difference, how to create a safe space for others to share, and why true hope is found in a blend of beauty and brokenness. S2E4: Sports and Their Right Place (with special guest Joey Taylor)

Theology in the Dirt

You probably knew this one was coming with our sports guys leading this thing and giving a sports hot take every episode. Now they go deeper and talk about how sports often get taken to a place they were never intended by the Lord and where they should really fit in in our lives from a Christian perspective. Great friend and huge sports fan Joey Taylor joins the guys today to share his thoughts on things. He's an avid Braves, UGA, and Falcons fan and also played some college baseball. Give it a listen and don't forget to give us a 5 star review and comment if you enjoy the podcast. Have a great week!--- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/appSupport this podcast: https://anchor.fm/theologyinthedirt/support
