For the want of another word, Stefano Mesa is a badass. If you're a fan of racing or just a fan of hard work, then Mesa has to rank amongst your favorites in the MotoAmerica Series. Mesa shows up at MotoAmerica events with his mom and dad, they unload the trailer, get set up and they go racing. In fact, if you pay attention you will see Mesa swapping his own wheels during practice and qualifying sessions. He swaps the wheels, puts his helmet back on and goes into attack mode. It's impressive. He not only does it, he does it well. We talked to the man who sits third in the 2021 MotoAmerica Supersport Championship for this episode of Off Track With Carruthers And Bice to chat about his do-it-all racing program and more. Fierce - Family - Fast Laps comes to mind when I think of Stefano Mesa. A privateer who works so hard w/ his family's help to be at a track almost every weekend somewhere and puts at some courses the fastest laps ever. He is slowly (fastly) but surely moving himself to the top w/ a small hand full of people and little money, making big waves in the racing community. There is not a person who isn't impressed with his racing and you will be impressed by his interview as well.
Stefano Mesa is currently in second place in the MotoAmerica Stock 1000 standings. He has one win for the season, two second place finishes and four third place finishes. Mesa has held a number of track records at New Jersey Motorsports Park, Palm Beach International Raceway, Daytona International Speedway and Summit Point Motorsports Park.
