Slamdown Revisited w/ Angela Barnes & Alex Brooker (Neighbours)
Hello folks. You asked for it, we've all forgotten it, so we're going to have to have a Flatshare Slamdown re-rewind, when the crowd say bo... selecta Pappy's. Originally aired in January 2015, this old gem is a drunken haze for all involved. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

If you look closely through the mist that hangs outside The Moon Under Water you’ll just about be able to make out our next guest. And as they approach the ‘Pub of the Mind’ it becomes clear that we’re in for a real treat; because it’s award winning comedian Angela Barnes!Angela shares a passion for pubs with Landlord John and the ever regular Robin, and is most certainly an ale apologist. She’s also a descendent of Newfoundlanders, and is privy to a very special drinking ceremony that takes place on the 16th-largest island on Earth. Fingers crossed she’ll tell us about it! We all know what year it is…don't we? This week Jolyon and James are joined by Angela Barnes to discuss the new chronology – a surprisingly widespread conspiracy theory that suggests several years of history simply…never happened! It's less to learn at school, at least, but is it true? IF you're enjoying the podcast, please do like, share, subscribe and leave a – hopefully five star! – review.
In today's episode we spoke with the incredible Angela Barnes about her comedic influences and inspirations. Angela gave Riki some advice that would be useful for any new comedian. Angela was worries she would give us some "uncool" comedians but it turned out that she came up with some extremely hilarious people that Riki had never heard of before. I usually speak in the 3rd person for these but I have to say this was my favourite ending so far because it really shows what Mark means when he says comedians love comedy. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
Angela Barnes on the continual winter of Persistent Depressive Disorder
The Wintering Sessions with Katherine May
Welcome to the Wintering Sessions with Katherine May.This week Katherine chats to Angela Barnes, podcaster, comedian and regular panel guest on Mock The Week (and much more!).Angela Barnes has zero tolerance for anyone reassuring her that she's pretty - it talks over her lived experience, and does nothing to change her self-perception. Here, she discusses living with Persistent Depressive Disorder, which has made her whole life feel like the drizzly English climate, but which has also made her more able than most to endure the hard-knocks life of a stand-up comedian. A very cheerful chat which always zeroes in on the important points with lazer focus, picking up on where Angela is in the greater pandemic situation, working with her PDD, building daily frameworks, having a comedy tribe which normalizes certain behaviours and actions, fear of rejection, CBT, entitlement, TV, the perils and - well, perils of social media, and the notion of beauty on a grand scale.ANGELA LINKSMain siteTwitterInstagramWe Are History podcastMock The WeekKATHERINE LINKSHomepageTwitterInstagramThe Wintering SessionsKatherine's writing class See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Ladies--we need to have a quick chat, about our breasts. One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. Take a look around your group of friends, one of them might be the one. This is not a secret. Every year millions of women dawn their pink and march to raise awareness for this cause. This time bomb that hides in our most precious and vulnerable body part can come about from genetics or simply because of the exposure of life. When Angela Barnes found out that there was a fault in the screening system that was affecting more than 50% of women AND that there was already a solution. She couldn't wait another day.:: Zero medical background:: Zero prior experience in the field:: One great vision for better health for womenThis episode is not to be missed.KvinnaCare.com@KvinnaCareText Health to 33-777
