Het Verloren Kwartiertje: Sophie Collins
De Verloren Tijd
In the upcoming period, every second Friday, Perdu will be broadcasting excerpts of around fifteen minutes, taken from our archives of our most thought-provoking, lingering evening programs. In this edition, you’ll be hearing a reading by Sophie Collins from the first evening in the series Belonging in the Mess, which took place on the 18th of May 2018 and was titled A world we lose by waking up in sanity. The evening approached the topic of mental health from an open perspective, looking at the way that patterns of affects that are usually labelled as abnormal can provide us with fruitful perspectives on the world that they emerged from. On this evening, Sophie Collins spoke about the affect of shame and its interwovenness with topics like self-help, trauma and self-expression. A trigger warning for this episode: Sophie Collins discusses sexual assault.
