The album will precede a European tour – first dates announced below, with more to follow. For over 20 years Alexander Hacke (Einstürzende Neubauten) and artist, musician and filmmaker Danielle de Picciotto (co-founder of Love Parade) have been developing and evolving a deeply intuitive and symbiotic working practice and creative partnership, and on the new album, Keepsakes, that has manifested into their most intimate release so far. “It might be a cliched phrase, but this is a very personal album,” says Alexander Hacke, Danielle de Picciotto explains, “we usually sing about universal themes, like the fate of mankind, but this time it's about our personal lives.”

A musician from the start, he joined Einstürzende Neubauten in 1980 at the age of 14,  as well as playing in numerous influential underground-groups and writing, recording, releasing and performing music under the pseudonym Alexander von Borsig. Throughout the eighties and up to the present Alexander has collaborated with many artists and continues to produce records and score music for theater, feature and documentary movies. Since 2001 Alexander has been collaborating with American artist Danielle de Picciotto who was a singer in the band Space Cowboys. In 2015 he put out his autobiography KRACH - Verzerrte Erinnerungen.

Vom 12.05. bis 14.05.2022 findet wieder im FEZ das Superbooth-Festival statt. Superbooth ist Europas größte Fachmesse für elektronische Musikinstrumente. Es finden aber auch Workshops, Gespräche, Performance und nicht zuletzt spannende Konzerte statt. In diesem Jahr u.a. mit Daniel Miller &amp; Gareth Jones, atom tm, Lisa Morgenstern und St. Raumen. Olaf Zimmermann begrüßt in der ersten "elektro beats"-Stunde den Festival-Organisator und -Kurator Andreas Schneider als Studiogast mit einer Vorschau auf diese drei Tage. Bevor Alexander Hacke demnächst mit den "Einstürzenden Neubauten" auf Tournee geht, schaut er in der zweiten "elektro beats"-Stunde vorbei. Im Fokus steht die limitierte Doppel-Vinyl-Veröffentlichung "Borsigwerke". Das sind Titel, die er vor 40 Jahren unter dem Namen "Alexander von Borsig" auf Kassetten und EP veröffentlicht hat. In dieser zweiten Stunde erzählt er zahlreiche, spannende Geschichten rund um die Entstehung dieser historischen Aufnahmen.

Vestberlin lå som en ø midt i Østtyskland og her opstod en rå, kompromisløs og dybt nyskabende musikscene, hvoraf Einstürzende Neubauten blev det allermest indflydelsesrige orkester. Alexander Hacke fra Neubauten oplevede Murens fald på tæt hold i 1989. Lars Top-Galia fra Sort Sol tog tit til Berlins klubber og spillesteder. Hør de to kunstnere fortælle om tiden og miljøet fra dengang i en samtale modereret af journalist Erik Jensen fra Politiken.
