A longtime friend of the Atlanta Jewish Film Festival, Aaron Wolf has an eclectic young Hollywood career both in front of and behind the camera. Based in Los Angeles, he wears many showbiz hats: narrative and documentary filmmaker, writer, actor and co-founder of a full-service production company. You can also add podcast host, improv comedian, juggler, magician and voiceover talent to the list. Aaron has not only made a name for himself, but instills his work with a generous spirt and Jewish ethos. His short film, The Walk co-starring Peter Riegert, was featured at the 2015 AJFF, followed by his acclaimed 2017 documentary Restoring Tomorrow, which chronicles the restoration of Los Angeles’ Wilshire Boulevard Temple. His latest film might seem like a complete departure: a fun throwback horror movie entitled Tar, now playing on demand and in select theaters. For a fresh and inspiring perspective on an emerging industry talent, join host Sara Glassberg for her conversation with Aaron about his personal and creative journey.

Have you ever? Tonight we're sharing Chapter 17 around the campfire, and it's all about understanding how trauma manifests in our minds and bodies, and how the outdoors can help us heal. So who better to kick off this conversation than the humans behind the organization that gave me the language I needed to articulate my experience on the #TransCatalinaTrail - Kenya and Michelle Jackson-Saulters, the founders of the Outdoor Journal Tour and the #WeHikeToHeal Movement. Join us as we chat about the uprising in this country since they were last on the show, how sponsors are reacting (or not reacting), and what it means to find alignment and how to cultivate more of that in your life. AARON WOLF @aaronwolfmusic knows there's a Better Way - and that's exactly why he's joining us around the fire at the Reggae Ranch tonight. He's the mastermind beyond the @musicianmasterysummit, an entrepreneur, and a musician. EMILY HOPCIAN @emilyhopcian and I first connected when she was writing a piece about people living with diabetes in the outdoors, and we were fast friends after that interview. Born and raised in the US, Emily has been living in Argentina for the past few years writing, creating content, and birthing a beautiful documentary about female tour guides in Nepal. She is a firm believer in the power of storytelling, and I'm excited to hear some of her stories around the fire tonight.--- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/hikingmyfeelings/support

Aaron Wolf is an actor and director of the production company, Howling Wolf Productions. Thanks to his grandfather, a rabbi from Nazi Germany who promoted interfaith, Aaron credits growing up with people of all colors, faiths, and creeds around his dinner table as a major influence on his subsequent storytelling career. His award-winning first feature film tackled the topic of learning disabilities and helped create dialog in schools around the country. In the intervening years, Aaron has focused on meaningful work that creates dialog, even if the process can be difficult and uncertain. To paraphrase Aaron: “Fear propels me…If it’s too easy, then why am I even doing it?”To learn more about Aaron’s story, be sure to listen to today’s episode of The Fearless Storyteller. This episode is an invigorating, aurally demonstrative conversation that took place in Portland, Oregon between Kite, Aaron, and Spencer in September 2019. It’s about the guitar Kite invented that uses every other note of 41edo. Music theory nerds will greatly enjoy this episode! P.S. Be on the lookout for a Jacob Collier cameo...
